the first question depends on wether we are counting the Lord of the Rings (and the Simmarillion(or whatever)) as one book not the three they were divided into?
(not that i know the answer or anything)

Now I'm really scratching my old head wondering why Sly Stallone is the answer to Argonzo's question?
Can someone explain it please.
And I guess Poli (good guess!) would win the honour of the next question even if it was a 'guess - for no apparent reason'.
And shouldn't we count JRRT's academic works as books published as well? OK OK I'm being pedantic, I know you meant just the fiction.

Confused?
The Ghost of Polidari Posted Jan 21, 2002
Now I'm not sure whether I'm asking a question or not? Or are we doing the Tolkien one?
Ummmmmmm...???
Confused?
the other omylouse "multiply (1*6) by (6*1+0+3)!" Posted Jan 21, 2002
u can ask a question if u want. the Tolkien 1 was really to fill the time til we knew who was right.
John Ronald Reuel is correct, tho i get a diff no of books 4 him. (im not including those publishd by his son after his death or 'The Road Goes Ever On' as that was mainly Donald Swann)

Ummmmm.
Anyway, if nobody guesses (or remembers, hint) in a few more hours I'll start giving clues....
Flying high?
~ jwf ~ scribblo ergo sum Posted Jan 22, 2002
OK, clues.
Is it really "Frequent Flyer" or is that phrase a translation from some other language? I mean it's possible that somebody has a foreign name like 'Alphonso Aerial Mucho Gardini' or some such...
I really thought Marjin had it won and I gave up.
So clues, yeah.
