Ahh Lazy days fishing by the lake
Hi there. Old Uncle Zarniwoop here.
Due to popular demand the Campsite has now opened a small section of the local lake up to the joyous sport of fishing. Relax and get away from all the hassle, and play the sport of kings.
Buy all the tackle you need at the tackle hut, and then at the end of the day, we barbecue it on the shore.

My, what a marvelous lake!
Can anyone teach me how to fish? I've never done it before.

Walking along the trail and reaching the lake Ooohs and aahs at the scenery. Noticing the fishing allowed sign: Could someone show me how? I would be willing to share grilled fish recipes.

Erm...have to admit, Frankie and Evangeline, I've never actually caught anything...just like picnicking by the lake so far

Thanks, Evangeline, for sharing your picnic with me
Sorry I'm half-hibernating at the moment so very dozy rather like the dormouse in the teapot.

YIPPEEEE!!!! A fishing lake at last, fabulous! For anyone who would like to start fishing I would suggest you read A Beginners Guide to Coarse Fishing. I hope it is of some use to you all Otter.

Thanks Otter. I found the entry. It was very informative. This weekend I should remember to bring a fishing rod with me to the campsite. If I catch a nice fish I could make an etouffee'. Would you like some? One of these days it is going to be cold enough to make gumbo. Today it was 70 degrees at noon.

That's hot!! I'd better bring my sunblock along. Any food would be nice if it's cooked out of doors, I'd be delighted to try some of your cooking. Good luck with the fishing, catch ( ha ha ) ya later Otter.

It's still unseasonably warm here (70-75 farenheit). Feels more like summer vacation than Christmas. which means time to barbecue and play outside. I really should learn how to fish since I like cooking and eating fish so much. Seafood is a big thing in La. Come by for dinner I'll show you how to make real Cajun/Creole food.

I'd love to come over for dinner, I like spicy food and I've tried cajun chicken before . Maybe we can go fishing together and then cook what we catch afterwards . Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner but I've been and also decorating my office at home, so I've been offline for a couple of days. Catch you soon Otter>

Hope you are feeling better. Would some help? A fishing trip sounds great. Maybe we can catch some so I can show you how I grill fish with a blend of spices and lemon slices. Do you like grilled veggies and potato salad? I hope virtual food isn't fattening.

So do I! I seem to have been eating a lot of middle age spread recently. The pounds are racking up even as I type. Must get back to the gym and start working out again, muscle, not flab is the order of the day. I'm feeling well enough to throw a few weights about now, so I'd better get on with it while I can still fit in front of the PC.
Later Otter.

Maybe we should take long hikes around the campsite to exercise. Wouldn't it be great if that virtual exercise worked real muscles?

Wow! What a lovely lake! (Puts down three large and heave packeges)
I was hoping to meet Elfrida here but I seem to be about three weeks late - Ah! Nothing changes.
(Unwraps and starts to assemble the framework of a yet-to-be-designed folding coracle. Foxed by the almost similar nature of many of the parts, curles up is a corner of the canvas, uses paddle as pillow, and dozzzes)
