I can't believe this, I'm in complete shock. Mina's safe, for which I'm so thankful but I'm hoping and praying this isn't a terrorist attack

I'm not really here Posted Jul 7, 2005
I'm waiting to hear from the italics... In fact most of my friends at the BBC use the tubes, so I'm worried for everyone I know.

Sorry to butt in, but I heard that the BBC staff can't or aren't going in today, so we may not hear from them til tomorrow

I'm in the office! That means I am in a building one street away from Liverpool street station, where it seemed to start.
We've been cordened in!!
On the whole, it's gone very quiet. I'm sitting at my desk on the ground floor in my bike leathers (phoooar eh!) waiting to be allowed out so I can go home. I've got the backup tapes in my bag and I'm ready to rock.
...
bored now.
I'll post again soon.

Hmmmm.
Sister and family due back in London on the Eurostar today, from a few days in Paris.
Other sister and Mum en route to London at the minute, but they'll not be able to get into Liverpool Street from Stansted.
Me and my family due to fly to London City tomorrow for sister's 40th birthday.
Can't reach any of them.

I was relieved to see your name on the list this morning after hearing the news, GB ... even though I wasn't able to get through to post. I wanted you to know that you and the people of London are in my thoughts and prayers this morning.

Managed to get a txt from sister A. They're OK, but terribly sad.
Mum and other sister are presumably on a plane right now.

Glad to see some familiar names on here, and that at least those Londoners are safe - Does anyone there know how to get in touch with HappyDude? He doesn't seem to have checked in yet.

How should I know *exactly* where you are in England, AGB? I mean, you're close enough to London that you might have been wandering through casually on your way to breakfast, or something.
Please let me know that everyone on h2g2 is present and accounted for ... every one.

The courier has just arrived with our backup tapes. It seems that traffic is starting to move now, all beit slowly.
Just had pie and chips brought in by helicopter actually one of the braver office bods popped out and we are now dining on the company.
Many thanks for all your messages of support. Thoughts and prayers to all those who have suffered as a result of mindless terrorism.

Sorry AW I thought you knew I lived on the east coast, and enjoy my once-in-a-blue-moon trips down south.

That's a thread for Londoners to post to, that they're alive and well.
Please publicise this as much as possible, if posting your own journals.

I've only just seen the news.
I'm indcredibily saddened at the loss of lives and the terror that those in London must feel, but also glad that today wasn't one of the days that my Man had to go do London for business.
I'm sending a prayer for peace and healing.

Looking back at my last post about where you live, I see that my tone may have sounded flippant to you, AGB ... it was not meant to be taken that way.
