Katsys b-day!
Pandora Posted Jan 22, 2001
...get ripe huh? And then what? Rot?!? Now I really do feel like an old woman......I hadn't even noticed what I'd said 'til you brought it back up again! *sniff* (under the leaves,
third tree from the back of the house)
Women are like a fine wine they better with age...just as long as the cork's on tightly.
Men age, pearls yellow and women mature.
I COULD do this all day...
Katsys b-day!

Not to worry, dear: I always pick my ladies before they rot!
Here's a to make you feel better!
PS: Cheers BTW
Katsys b-day!
Shirps Posted Jan 22, 2001
Katsy, I'm really, really, really, really sorry! I didn't get back till late last night & I've no access to a 'puter at the coast. So:
HIPPO BIRDIE 2 U
HIPPO BIRDIE 2 U
HIPPO BIRDIE 2 U u
HIPPO BIRDIE 2 U!!!!!!!!!!!!
(The old ones are the best!! Eh, Pandora & Pierce??)
So, remind me, what's it like being 15?
Ooooh, don't wish your life away. I can remember wanting to be older, now I just wish I was younger (in body anyhow!!). I don't reckon our imagination grows much older, just the way we perceive it. Oh oh, I had a few glasses of what you can drink when you're 18!! & so I've begun rambling!!! Beware the dangers of ilcohul, hic!!!!
You enjoy the textiles more than the art, eh? What about designing, etc? Van Gogh loved texture, even though he was an artist. The Sunflowers he painted so thick with oil paint so that a blind person could feel them & recognise they were flowers. Did you know that? However, he wasn't paying for the paint!!!!!!
Anyway, again A Belated Very Happy Birthday - you're only 15 once in your life you know!
LoL

I don't reckon we ever grow up, as such, just that we realise boring things like responsibility, tact, etc., i.e. living life, but trying not to upset anyone. But in our minds, we remember, we imagine, we dream, we wish, hey ... we can love!
Grey hair is very becoming, sometimes the wrinkles are just signs of our past life - a bit like a tree?? (you know, the rings show the age!)
Oh crikey, stop me someone, Rrrrrrrrr is: he's just looked over my shoulder - gulp!!! He has a very important B'day this year - I'd better not say, but he is 15 older than me - ooh, that's Katsy's age!!!!! I'm going ......
Cheeeeeerio

Keep rambling on, Shirps! It's very entertaining!
But: "you're only 15 once in your life you know!" is not alltogether right. I've been 15 for over 30 years now!

...that's add...your PUNS are at least 50 years old!!!! AH-HA!
Pierce...I have met your match when it comes to puns...you are still the KING of Groans (& always will be) when it comes to puns. But this guy even SINGS his puns! He's someone I met here at h2g2 & now phones me. I'd like to see the two of you have a 'pun off'!!!! (I'd need to keep a bucket near...but it would be worth it)
Shirps, what can you drink over there at 18? In the States, you can die for your country at 18, vote, but not have a drink.

Why thankee sirrah! I shall endeavour to ramble (when the mood, or wine, overtakes me!)
OK, so as I was trying to say before: you may be 15 in mind, I think I'm a little older (always was - boring!!), but come on, be truthful, surely not in body?! If you are - what's your secret?
Katsy, I'll take a peep at your new site tomorrow .........
Cheers all!!

Hey, we're nearly talking on-line!!!
You can drink anything when you're 18!!!!! However, you have to pay full bus & train fares when you are 16 &, I think, join the forces at 16, but as a sort of junior force, not to die for country that comes when they're 18. It's a bit like prostitutes being taxed on their work, but their work is illegal!!!
Personally, I think it's a grave mistake - young lads who haven't learned to hold their drink can become very aggressive & hence can lead to vandalism, etc.
I must admit, I introduced Liz to cider & gradually to wine before she was 18, but only at home. Just so she could see the effects. Not that it's made much difference!!!!

is a fine invention! But like everything else (, and for instance ) it should not be overdone. Balance is the key to a good life!
(Well, that and a healthy portion of good oldfashioned - luck...)
Here in Denmark you must be 15 before you may buy and consume alcohol. You can vote when you're 18 - and you have to join the military when you're 18. If you are a boy, that is! Yup, we don't just discriminize women!
I guess I'm a couple of years older than 15 in my mind, Shirps, but my body? Let's just say 37. Apart from a couple of disorders that I have had for ages I'm feeling quite good, thank you. Maybe I've just gotten used to feeling old?

Oh, and Pundora: Thank you for your kind words . Singing puns? I don't know. I'm afraid my singing is worse than my puns - if you can believe that?
