Kumabear, all the guest rooms have private baths; you just help yourself, all the doors are unlocked.

Phil, when did you decide to become a function? And Kasia, I really felt it was time to at least attempt to cross over, but I admit that it is difficult right now. I just hope I learn fast and that all the German speakers are patient with me as I bring old old skills out of storage and get my vocabulary up to speed again. This is the best possible way to do it, eh?

Say, we have had a good break on the Minoova business. The researcher has turned in a plausible backstory and an apology which will very likely heal the whole thing and make our continuity seamless again. All is forgiven. It's up to the boys downstairs now, to work her back in, and not before time. I hate ironing.

here I'm again. Lil, your German is good and I think the best way to polish it is to speak it. I did it the same way, you know.
I have similar problems with my English: a dictionary is a must, but I manage, making mistakes, though.

May I have a green tea, if possible?

The weather is always perfect out on Lil's veranda, Kasia. Not too hot, not too cold, and the fireflies in the evening gives it an air of - magic...

*suddenly remembering she still hasn't had a look at Lil's gem*

I'm not sure about that gem, I know Styx gave it to Lil, and that there is some sort of strong magic in it... Oh! Wait!

*heads for fridge to get the champagne bottle*

Ooops, okay I managed not to fall on (at? hmm) my nose.

The browser kept on seizing up tonight and pages took forever to load and I couldn't get the reply cgi to load at all till about half an hour ago now. You know it's bad when you answer what you hope are the shortest threads first, and work your way up, hoping...

*gets a glass of champagne from fridge and wanders out to the veranda to look at fireflies*

*Goes to kitchen and finds pork pie on counter. Eats, has a long drink of water, then washes face, hands and whiskers*

Styx! Yes, just us atelier-dwellers. It's nice to sit out here and listen to the night noises and watch the lightning bugs down in the garden. Thank you again for the stone, by the way. I'm wearing it, but quietly.

I saw what happened at the banquet rooms tonight and decided there was nothing I could say to improve the situation. I would only have become upset, so I decided to stay home. But I don't want to dwell on politics here. We have all affiliations as guests and I don't want to estrange anybody.
