A Conversation for h2g2 Birthday Party
Happy Birthday
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Started conversation Apr 11, 2000
I can't come to the real time party, I'm afraid (I live in AZ, USA), but I am pleased to announce that April 28 is also MY Birthday! Just thought I'd mention...
On a more H2G2 relevant note, the H2G2 Parade (being held at http://www.h2g2.com/A274835 ) will be ready to kick off on the 28th, too! Anyone interested can drop by the above mentioned page and put their two cents in!

Barring accidents, earthquake, famine, flood, pestilence or suddenly landing a new job and being unable to get time off, I'll be there! Helena is almost certainly coming too, but I have to confirm the date with her... I'll let you know!

I'm confused, this is my first year. What's going on? I understand the net party, but then I'm lost. Please help.

DG: It's the first year for us all
As far as I know, it's a real life meeting in London, UK.
I'll be there! (hopefully... my schedule is notorious for changing at the last minute!)

Thanks, sadly I can't go because of my parents, but maybe next year.

I shall arrive, by hook or by crook.
But mostly likely by tube, which is usually cheaper and more comfortable than travelling by hook.

Jus' point me to the url, and I shall be on the net, but unfortunately I cannot be there for real
Ask MaW of Jacculus, they could go on my behalf!

I don't even have a passport at the moment. And Florida is too far away for impulse visits to London anyhow. But I'll be at the parade!
Sorry, can't...

And for those that cannot make it due to the constraints of time / geography / parents - we will raise a glass to your very good health!
Shall try.
Phil Posted Apr 12, 2000
Assuming I don't get very very drunk the night before - I'll be out at a gig and trying to ligg my way into the aftershow - and forget what I'm supposed to be doing. I'll be there.

Well, we were thinking of trying England for the holidays, at least as soon as I get my passport, which probably won't be until the end of the month...the Indian government is somewhat famous for being slow on these things, so we can forget about the real world bash. But, rest assured, I'll be there at the virtual party!
