Aroma Cafe: Where Is Irv?

*Lil, assistant caretaker, busses the tables, wipes the counter, changes the filters in the IIEM and generally tidies up while the cleaning bot mops floors, washes windows, takes out trash and sees to the recycling*
*The Sunday papers are set out on the table, the statue remains unmoved on the porch, the piano is playing Satie, and the smell of coffee pervades the air*
*Ook is out front on the boardwalk with three walnut shells, looking for marks*
OK, that spiffs the place up and gets a new thread going. The old one was three weeks old, and I know Irv had an arrangement on to start a new one every week. So the new theme is, what's happened to Irv? Where is he? Should we get in the detectives?
Let's have some coffee or tea and decide.

io, long gone, wins fttf. She hopes.
It's been a weird weekend... snuck into a club with some of my yugoslav buddies, watched them get into a drunken fight, it rained for the first time here in israel, hiked down a mountain, visited a crusader castle, got drug tested (twice really - my roomate's sample was mooched off me) - and lots of other fun. but a certain someone is looking very available and I'm quite happy.
About that fttf...

*A cold wind creeps across the room as a well known and disliked villain creeps into the room*
I can tell you where Irving Washington is IRL. However, I am only here because his absence from VR is directly linked to the absence of Red, for obvious reasons. The long and short of it is this: Irv is very busy IRL.
*KL orders a hazelnut italien cream soda, before discreetly wandering over to a cleverly concealed safe (the location of which was graciously provided by Lenore), and dials 478464-9274464866. Equally discreetly, he photographs the schematics for the IIEM, closes and relocks the safe, and departs*
Sorry to disrupt your Sunday with my unscheduled (and probably unwanted) visit, but it was absolutely necessary that I show up and get my order. I hope the rest of your day is more pleasant.
*Walks off (after dropping a very large sum of money on the counter), and quickly dissapears into a shrove of trees outside*

*wanders in, baffled at the sudden lack of pound notes in his pocket*
Hmmm, Ook's too good at these games....
IIEM, a strong Kenyan please.
*Collapses on the sofa*
No need to go on a diet, I'm lighter by 5 pounds

Hi all!
IIEM, a café mélange, please!
*sits down by table in corner, sorting through a great pile of papers*

oops missed this forum for a bit...more brown water please IIEM...
Mike: I'm no dance fan, and I'm not the one being mouthy, I was just saying I wasn't particularly interested in the metal scene. Is there an especial reason that I should be?
Lil: Xenomorph is the more used name for Giger's Alien from the Alien films; because just plain Alien, even with a capital 'A', could mean any old alien. Either you are a biology student who had only heard the word used in biology, or you just hadn't heard the word being bandied around. It's technical meaning is an entity that is supremely adaptable to survive in any environment.

You should be interested because as well as producing some of the most spunky music and musicians in the world, there's more to it than just the music. Relationships between bands and members, rivalries, church burning and all sorts of stuff I already covered for the people who were polite enough to sit and listen.
Besides, you were mouthy: you dissed the English weather. Tell lies in front of me and get away with it...

It is any English person's natural right, and indeed duty, to deride and be cynical about his own country. Incidentally, it HAS just started raining. Again.

P.S. were to tell I lie, I would indeed get away with it, as you have so kindly stated. Thankyou.

But I told you about Entombed which your were quite ruffled and undignified about so you did not get away with it.
And it is my right as a PROUD Englishman to stick up for the weather, which was actually quite good between March and September of this year. It's probably raining because it's 11 o'clock at night.
Case closed darling?

*sighs*
stop sniping, both of you. You're acting like a pair of oyboys. If you can't handle caffeine you can both go start an argument in a milk bar.
If I seem unduly hard, it's because I am most displeased to have the Krylma Leader encroaching on the majic wood and now the cafe. Only Irv and his alter ego Red could stop it. KL will thrive in an atmosphere of one-upmanship and quarrel, so I want you two to please make peace and allow each other to have their own taste in music.
If you don't, I will play Johnny Mathis tapes.
