Ah well. Might as well face the facts and admit that the summer is over...
Nothing to be sad about though! The fall has it's virtues, just like any other season. For me, the fall always means the beginning of new activities; new school, new job, new hobbies, new friends, and so on. The leaves are turning bright, red, purple, amber, there's a smoky smell in the air, and evening sky is speckled with .
In the Café we hang up the new earth-colored curtains, to keep the glare of the low red sun out. We have candles on every table and keep the other lights turned low. In the back you may or may not meet Ook, the blue orangutan. At his table you can have a game of backgammon or any other board game. (He cheats in scrabble though..)In the bookshelves you can find all kinds of literature, and the jukebox plays mostly soft jazz. IIEM (the Infinite Improbable Espresso Machine) have been cleaned and restocked, and got new filters. May I remind you that the soup module is working (sort of) and that there's still no alcohol.
Welcome to the Café!

Aaaand the FTTF-mug goes to... Titania!
Here you go T. What do you think? I thought it was too early to light the fireplace, with this mild weather and all, but we can do that, if someone feels chilly.

Harvest Moon will be on the 21st of September this year.
And I like the song too.
When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart.

Thanks Bee! And it's a very nice intro!
You know what would be cool? If Irv (once he's back) could add a very basic intro on top of the conversations, like I did at the Harvest Festival - check any of the conversation threads over here, or try to start a new conversation, and you'll see what I mean...A810640

Isn't it ? Mark Moxon kindly added my wish for different intros for different threads (currently it's the same intro in all threads belonging to one entry) to the new features list - imagine different intros or even pictures (yes, you can use pictures too) for different threads!
See this conversation for how I did it:

Hi Moggy!
*puts a big basket full of apples on the counter*
The apples this year is simply wonderful! I have been munching apples all weekend! I didn't know that there were so many different sorts to choose from: Summerred, Vista Bella, Åkerø, Rød Prins, Inger Marie, Lobo, Quinte, Julyred and Discovery! And not to forget my favourit, Aroma! I also got to sample some new ones; Nanna, Siv, Eir and Idun.
IIEM, the Usual please, hold the band.

[Mog] IIEM, gimme a triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso). And make it strong this time.

Thankyou.
Do you provide customers with free bibs? I'd like to go with my friend, but although she won't admit it, she's a messy eater. If you made bib-wearing compulsory, that would be a subtle way of keeping her and her surroundings cleanish (my friend is 3 weeks old, but is very mature for his age).

Sorry about the previous message - it's a boy. I did know that - I'm just tired. I'd better order a chocolate banoffe coffe. You do have them, right?

[Mog] Er, sure. It's non-alcoholic, isn't it?

Bumblebee Posted Sep 18, 2002
Of course we have them! IIEM makes any kind of beverage - sans alcohol.
Care for a non-alcoholic G&T? Tastes just the same as a real one, but it won't make you or . It won't improve your sosial skills either...
Hello Madpea, welcome to the Café!
I read in the paper today that Karlsson on the roof (Karlsson på taket) is about to enter the cinemas! Yay! My favourite Karlsson!

Hi Hati! How's life in Germany? Did you get on the right ? I'd love to travel by bus, I often do so in dreams.
