Well as people have got onto a subject very close to my heart, I thought I'd give it a new thread. Gravy, anyone?

Ormondroyd Posted Nov 17, 1999
Ooh yes. A and a burger with onion gravy please!
I'm so glad that everything is all over. It means that, despite tonight's result, us English folks don't have to watch England failing dismally at the Euro 2000 finals, because they'll never happen.
What a relief...

Well, that's one thing to be said for being pragmatic! English spirit through and through. I'll go back to my school and suggest it to my old PE teacher. Put this into context - I got a 'Good' for effort in PE when I was 14 despite my only achievement being working out crafty ways to avoid playing anything, Basketball in particular, though I remember it could be applied to football, too.

Peregrin Posted Nov 18, 1999
That sounds very familiar. Even into my sixth form I managed to convince the PE teachers that because of some obscure medical reason I could do rock climbing, which I liked, but not hockey, rugby or football, which I didn't.
Oh, and do you serve haggis in here? Failing that, maybe a black pudding?

I suddenly got this craving for raspeballer, it must be Thursday today...
You do have it on the meny, surely? Raspeballer is made of potato and barleyflour,
and taste much better then it sounds
Black pudding sounds good too. Just realised I'm hungry, very so.

I'm sorry to bother you, but...I appear to have a bit of a dirty fork....

Mmm, what's your veggie option? It had better not be frozen lasagne...

Black pudding is at its finest when served on a fried egg buttie.
Oh yes. With HP sauce.

I really, really want to come up with a Pun on Branston/That Barmy Baloon flying bloke - but I guess that would be a bit too predicatable.
Is it Dinner time yet.
*Sits down and waits for Waitress service*

What, you mean like "Branston, isn't that just pickled Richard?"
Is there waitress service around here? I thought it was a question of grabbing the free peanuts off the bar.
