You are probably familiar with Piet Hein's work, Pierce. He was born in Copenhagen. I haven't figured out what language his grooks were written in -- Danish or English....

Oh yes, I remember him well - and the answer to your question is yes

No, really. I believe some were written in English and translated into Danish - while others were wirtten in Danish and translated into English

My sister gave me a collection of his grooks as a birthday present many years ago.

He did indeed. Among a lot of other things. I've been wanting one of his superelliptic dining tables for years, but even second hand ones are expensive
