Boys R Us
R Spandex
Hype R Active
R U Listening
(to which the answer must be No! - the exclamation mark is compulsory)
Boys Are New And Lovely
(or Banal for short)
hmm... methinks tis going downhill from here

Ideally you need a name with a number in it (East 17, Boyz 2 Men etc.) and the song should be a very slight change of somebody elses ghastly recent hit, with just a hint of innuendo but not so much thet the ever more prude Aunty Beeb will take offence.
With that in mind I give you "Claws 14" and their new song "Who let the puppies out?".

How about B@bes 2000?
It's got a number in it. It's got a symbol that suggests the Internet in it. The number will date within the next two months. It's got it all.

Come Up Next Time (Nice acronym)
Felch
I like the last one.

It seems to me that often peoples' reasoning behind liking these groups is that the people in them are "really nice lads". Like that means they sing good songs?! Or have talent?!
Therefore, "Aimiable Young Fellows" or "Cheeky But Inoffensive" would be good names.
I really do dispair of the manufactured music industry - some of their group names are SO bland an uninspiring (which is quite fitting, really). A1? _A_ _1_? Choose a letter. Choose a number. I bet they only stuck the 1 on because "A" are already a band (and are actually quite good).
Or what about Boyzone? "Well," though the producers, "the theme of this group is that, er, they're all male and... er... they can sing a bit... er..." and then their deadline rushed up to meet them so they jotted down "Boyzone" so it looked like they'd done some work, and it just stuck. I bet.
Mind you, that said, I'm in a band called The Pregnants. And that isn't exactly a great name.

I think I like "Just Add Talant" but to be 'cool' you might want to spell it horrible wrong, stick in numbers, put in as much punctuation as possible and/or write it all in capitals (like our freinds, N*SYNC)(or of course, 2Ge+her - who are actually pretty funny, I must admit)
for example: JU$T @DD+ TALUNT17

I hate to say it, but the other day, perusing the record store, I came across a band actually called Boyzone. So much for that? How about
--MPG (Manufactured Pop Group)
--Boy Group (or Girl Group, depending on the gender)
and I have to admit that I do like Just Add Talent. But what about something really bad, like We Are Not Real (WENR for short)?!

does anyone remember e-male, who's gimmick - apart from the name - was that a) they all wore rollerskates and b) all their names began with e. ie e-mote, e-galitarian or something?
