Deathlist - temporary thread

Post 1

Icy North

While we wait for the h2g2 site data to be restored, here’s a temporary conversation for people to record any Deathlist sightings - post anything here, whether listed in 2023 or not, and I’ll sort it all out when we get back to normal business.

So far in 2023, we had recorded:

Gina Lollobrigida

For awhile, I was afraid the Jeremy Renner would join that list, but he seems to be bouncing back after having a snowplow roll over him

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

Loved Gina Lolabrigida. I was bought up on ‘40s and ‘50s film stars watching many of those films of the era and Mum telling me about the stars. Also, visiting jumble sales almost every Saturday, I amassed a large collection of film books for coppers.
Raquel Welch was another fav although I thought she was British possibly due to association with the name.
Shane h2g2 went down and none on my list. Thanks Icy for the update.

I didn't know Raquel Welch was a Latina (Bolivian father) until last week.

You can call me TC

I've been traveling through the Wiki page of deaths in 2023. Mind-boggling. I haven't heard of 99% of the people listed, but I won't quote any here as others may have heard of some that I missed out.

Betty Boothroyd is the one who stood out to me so far this year, but did you know that one member of Lynyrd Skynrd was still around until a month or so ago?

Dead websites? Well, while notable animal deaths are mentioned, not quite the same as a website. Mind you, you could conceivably do a deathlist equivalent for predicting the complete collapse of companies, which could include websites? So you'd get points if you predicted Silicon Valley Bank &c.

Probably best discussed on a different conversation.
