Oh yes the whole world thinks he's funny and are waiting for the punchline.

John Oliver focused his Sunday night show on "The Boris", letting the American audience know some of the reasons he's not the British version of "The Donald". Specifically he pointed out his very elite background, his able to actually speak eloquently (or even in fully thought out, complete sentences). But mostly he focused on Johnson's often feigned ignorance. The following quote from DNA ( U42 ) could easily be about Johnson.

Johnson seems to actually use his apparent cluelessness strategically.

No one can be amazingly clever (or even just ordinarily clever) all the time. There will be times when you have to sit out what dance is being danced because it's not your type.

The thing people either don't know or forget about Alexander Johnson is that he was a King's Scholar at Eton. That qualifies you for reduced fees, among other things. His family could of course have afforded the full fees very easily. You can *buy* a place at Eton - Prince Harry didn't get in on his sparkling intellect. You cannot buy a King's Scholarship. It absolutely requires the boy to pass one of the toughest exams in the world... And Al Johnson passed it. He is a VERY bright boy indeed.

Yeah, so not "Britain Trump" as no one but Trump has called him.

Of course being able to pass a rigorous academic exam doesn't necessarily mean having any common sense, diplomacy or humanity.

This has been interesting. One thing that could be a problem is productively and if Scotland area 80,077 sq km, breaks away the GB landmass will suddenly shrink. The UK 243,610 sq km NOW and if the Scots break away it shrinks to 163,533 AFTER
For a comparison Tunisia is 163,610 sq km.

Did you know that removing all of a frogs legs renders it deaf? However hard you scream at it, it won't run away. Lab tests have proven this.
