Why are cardinals dressed in red? I thought only the devil and santa claus dress in red.

It seems the good ex-cardinal is 'fessing up to being a sex pest. What an unexpected development.

Indeed. But it give one hope that some of the clergy
still have some sense of honor and respect for humanity.
Dare I say this honest streak speaks more to the British-ish
DNA of the man than to his religious orientation.
Maybe he will even be able to make amends on his previous
anti-gay and same-sex marriage opposition which will prove
beneficial to the movement.

As a penance for his sins, Cardinal O'Brien has to kick Bishop Brennan up the arse.

Err what?
So the BBC has done something wrong and then it means it cannot report on wrongdoing elsewhere? Should they just shut down their entire news output?
And for how long should this post Saville, we cant report news thing, last?

All the American TV News networks are setting up shop
in front of the Vatican for the duration. No doubt they
will all have one camera aimed at the chimney. Oh boy,
another exciting week (or more) of nail-biting viewing.
