Cause I have never been a big fan. Cook myself a nice dinner (Steak and sweet tattie wedges tonight) get a nice bottle (Prosecco, lovely job) and watch a good film (Millers Crossing, how have I not seen it before?)
I hate being out, dont really like NYE house parties, can just about tolerate a NYE dinner (no invites this time).
So mostly these days I chill out at Chez Ferrettbadger on me lonesome. Hoping there might be the occasional hootooista doing the same!

not alone in being alone at home. and I had dinner (steak with new potatoes and broccoli and champagne) and have watched a whole load of DVDs (Being Human and Stargate SG-1)
We are only awake now because in an hour there will be 10 minutes of fireworks so no point going to bed before that.

I am currently undertaking a Breaking Bad marathon accompanied by a multipack of square crisps and a very, very good bottle of wine

How far into BB are you?
I wish I still had osme to watch. I was both elated, and devastated when I caught up to the "real life present day" of BB.

I'm dining with friends tonight [I'll leave for their house in about an hour], but I won't be doing anything different than most of the people who are alone. Some food, maybe a video or some television. No big deal. Then, when the clock strikes midnight I will come back home and go to bed.
Tomorrow I will go out to visit my mother and father.

I wanted to watch 2 seasons of Being Human followed by 2 seasons of Stargate (not physically possible in the time I have until going back to work - but I'm an ambitious sort of gal) but was vetoed by who has to get his fix of Lewis & Hathaway (not a bad idea actually )

Thanks to Sho, I'm also watching Being Human and messing about on Skyrim (just clocked Dragonborn). Since it's mine and a number of friends birthdays in early/mid-December, by NYE I'm generally skint, extremely hungover and in the mood for a quiet night in.
I've got a dram of a nice whisky to have at midnight and I've made a special Thai curry but that's it.

I'm not a big New Year's fan either, besides the weathers to horrible to be traveling about much.

The middle panel is stuck to my PC screen at work.
I think that answers your question.

The Beeb doing the Olympics greatest hits for the last 10 mins is a good idea. Making me feel all warm (though that could be the whisky too).

Darn...some neighbours invited me over to welcome in the new year... what do these people think they are doing!!!!!!
Happy new Millenium...I've decided that this year starts 'the new millenium...well, if the majority of the world can incorrectly say 2000AD was the new millenium it sort of allows anyone to call any time the new millenium.
