You can call me TC

I have that problem too. I am probably too much of the German housewife by now. After hoovering without glasses,, I get down on my knees, have a closer look and groan and start all over again with a finer nozzle. Help me!

Walk in bare feet. When your feet feel annoyed, do a bit of sweeping. When your feet stop feeling annoyed, stop sweeping.

Works for me.

But exactly, the Nighthoover is the true way! Day-dyson will reveal the niggly whatnots, and is not recommended. smiley - zensmiley - zoomsmiley - tomato< motato > smiley - huh

The definitive answer would have to come from either 2Legs or Mother Nature. smiley - winkeye

It is well known that Nature abhors a vacuum.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Hoover with glasses.
You shouldn't be hoovering so quik your glasses may fall off.
\Firm, slow and steady strokes of your nozzle.
caress the nozzel over the floor; never press the nozzle too hard; this creates too great a downward force between your nozzle and the floor; this reduces the suction of your nozzle, as the air is unable to be drawn in, as you create a vacuum between the nozzle and the floor; this stops particles being removes off of the floor, and sucked into your nozzle.
Of course, one should do this hoovering at night, but with lights on if that is required. smiley - zen

My hoover really sucks... Its useless... smiley - dohsmiley - silly
I always do housework barefooted, as its the easiest way to tell when sweeping or hoovering if there's particles on the floor.... smiley - zen oh, and you should dance whilst hoovering, it helps... the mud-shark is a good dance to start with, or variations thereof... I've not hoovered in a month smiley - blush

>> with lights on if that is required <<

'required'?
I'm at a loss to imagine such conditions.
Any light is a pollution, an abomination
to the true nighthoovering experience.

You might notice for example that the dog
is staring at you, an unpleasant and much
discomforting experience even with the most
beloved pets. For they are but dumb beasts
and cannot know or understand the hallowed
nature of the nighthoovering.

You mean your dog doesn't protect you by charging the vacuum and managing to remove a piece of trim that you didn't realize was removable? (Snapped back on, though it wouldn't've hurt anything if it hadn't--I've had the vacuum almost 20 years now...)

I really should get around to getting the video of our smiley - dog protecting us all from the nasty loud monster online sometime--you can tell that those are definitely fear/anger sounds she's making, not playful ones.
