Right anyone know of a mobile phone app (I am of thel ittle green robot variety) that allows you to create a shopping list using oyur PC and keyboard, and then tick off the items on your phone as you get them?
I use evernote at the moment for viewing the list but no easy way of ticking off the items as you get them. I also have a shopping list app but it is fiddly making the lists on your phone and it doesn't have browser access.

I think most large supermarkets have in-house ones if you shop at the large supermarkets.

Yeah I tend to do that and get it delviered. I was thinking more about when I need to be out and about doing 4-5 shops. I **always** forget something.
I use paper lists but sometimes forget a pen to tick things off. If I could do it on my phone it would be loads better.

Paper list, one item per line (and another one on the right of each line?)
No pencil? a little tear in from the edge.

can't you just write a memo in the phone?

Yeah, but the issue for me with that (and with the paper lists I also use) is ticking stuff off I have already got is fiddly.
Something that allowed you to at a touch mark that you had "got" things, that then greyed them out or removed them from the list would be handy.

plus it could also store previous lists. and could be built so you could keep track of what's in your cupboard too.

Would be well handy. But really can't find anything. It could be quite simple just an easy web interface that linked to the app, just doing what it says on the tin.
Oh well....

Egret List is a ticky box app that integrates with Evernote. I have the iPhone version, don't know if there is an Android version.

Android specifically warns "No Egrets".
Their website goes on to say
"no tears goodbye
I don't want you back,
we'd only cry again
Say goodbye again"

Ok this thread wasn't what I thought it was but I'll ask here anyway.
Oh, and suggest for the OP that you do what I do - make the list as a memo in my phone, and add an asterisk at the front to 'tick' each item off. Un-asterisking afterwards is a bit fiddly but it does work.
Anyway, what I thought was: I have songs on my phone, and I use playlists, but most often I just use the 'not Christmas' playlist (which is every song except the Christmas ones) on shuffle. I like shuffle, but there are a very few songs that for various reasons I need to hear together. For example, 'Together in Electric Dreams' always needs to be followed by 'No More Lonely Nights' (stop sniggering at the back) because that's how they were on the tape we had on the school trip to Belgium - it just sounds wrong if they aren't side by side.
So what I want is a shuffle that mostly shuffles, but leaves some songs in pairs. A card-trick app. I've no idea if one exists or there is a way of working round this.
And I just felt the need to share that need. As you were

I saw something like this in a desktop music program a few years ago, you "linked" songs together, and when it shuffled, they stayed linked.

I've got an android and I use it for shopping lists, but, I just use a quick office text file . . .
but . . .
I also use MyPhoneExplorer for synching between my computer and my phone and, in the Calendar section of the `pc half it has a thing called "Tasks" which shows up as a separate thing ("MPE Tasks") on the phone. I think it would behave pretty much exactly as you are suggesting.
Of course, to use MyPhoneExplorer you have to muck about a bit and set your phone to usb debugging, but I've found the thing to be simply brilliant.
