I came |-| close to getting one of those in 1989 when I could buy a car in $ and the rate was good. But the salesman messed it up and I got a bright red Mazda MX-5 instead (back when they only came in red and blue and had pop-up headlights)
ah the pre-Gruesome Twosome good ol' days!

So how many years before oyu get to have a disposable income again?
Me moving out was just as good news for my olds as it was for me I think! A proper win/win... Though I must say I have never completely broken the habit of relying on the "Bank of Dad" though much less frequently than in the past!

You don't want to visit my branch FB. When I take a loan out, the Bank of Dad charges hideous rates of interest.

My branch changed management when the CEO passed away earlier this year. It's now the Bank'o'Mother'n'Kid-Sister, and they don't seem to know my name. But that's okay, I hadn't taken out a loan in over 35 years and don't think that I'll start now

My bank of dad would probably be a lot better of he and my mum weren't spending their retirement actually enjoying themselves and doing things.
Don't they realise that's my inheritance they're spending? You're old and retired, you're supposed to be sat at home watching reruns of old BBC sitcoms not galivanting round the country!

Soon enough the inheritance will be yours and you won't have any deposits at that bank. You would be surrprized how fast such an inheritance disappears. My net worth is about a negative 14K
and when I die all my creditors will suddenly discover I have no heirs to pay them
