>>A super injunction is just a very expensive admission of guilt.
Can I just poke that a little? Guilt of private activities which are not necessarily the business of reporters or the wider public? Shouldnt anyone have the right to protect their human rights?
Is it important that we know about the state of Married Actors lives, or is this simply the stuff that sells? Its the same motivation that led to the hacking of a murdered schoolgirls voicemail. surely? Even if sometimes the information is (allegedly) sold to the newspaper by one of the interested parties.
OK - Ill buy the argument that currently its only the wealthy who have recourse to the courts - but thats a separate issue.

Some utter m*rn disrupted something incredibly important. The media will wet itself over that.
I hope they throw away the key. And how could the police be so monumentally incompetant.
To the important stuff. Most of the truth is still hidden...

Hearing that Ladbrooks have cut the odds of Cameron no longer being Tory leader at next election to 2/1 Blimey.

Indeed, everyone was licking Murdoch a few weeks ago and now they are putting the boot in...it would have been perfect...there are far more important things going on like the economic crisis and the banks at the moment but the media is in a mutual masturbatory orgy reporting on something from within and MPs are trying to be as holier than thou.
And to cap it all they cancelled Mayo & Kermodes Film Programme on Friday for it all...perspective journos...it's important ...but not so much that everything has stop...this 24hour media crap is too much...just give a precis of the facts...

FB - betting odds come down in relation to the amount of money being placed. Not really an indication of likelihood.

Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted Jul 19, 2011
Not enitrely true. It is a mixture of the money put on and the likelihoods of something happening. Bookies seek to minimise their exposure on either count.
And these things can become self fulfilling prophecies in all, the more talk of DC under pressure the more likely other (who have wanted an excuse to attack him anyway) will pick up the baton.

Seems blindingly obvious to me. And now since seeing Murdoch announced that Cameron had got him to come in the back door of Downing street for a cuppa just like Brown..the old devil is clearly taking him down with him, which I thought he would. Conflate Brown and Cameron - good move. He's punishing them for disloyalty.
The Tories would be insane to keep Cameron.

Perhaps. We've heard a lot of complaints from limpdems about the coalition but that's as nothing compared to the anger in some Tory quarters. I know of quite a few Tory MPs who are unhappy at being told to shut up and toe the line whilst Clegg, Cable et al go against core Tory beliefs.

It is well known that Greece will default - it is just a question of when.

Hmmm during the live Inquiry in front of all those MPs a man
walks in and attacks Rupert Murdoch with a custard pie. Of course
this could have been a man with a chemical bomb or something. What
lousy security for such a high priority event in the middle of London.

Do you think Cameron will fight the next election tarantoes?
I'm not really thinking short term...but once all the cuts and economic stuff hits, he'll be seen as weakened because of how he's performed during this episode..and of course huge misjudgement over Coulson. People will have leverage on him..for poor judgment and not having the blls to stand up to that old man.

At the moment I can't see why Cameron would resign and I don't see
anyone who can replace him. In the next election the Lib Dems will
be completely wiped out as the £9000/year student fees hit home and
I think it is too early for Labour to get back in considering they
got Britain in this financial mess (but Milliband has an
opportunity). However by the time of the next election there is
likely to be great unrest because of the way the Conservatives are
handling the financial crisis (Big Society, library closures, shocks
to education and health, pension changes etc).

Effers;England. Posted Jul 20, 2011
Oh yes I don't see him resigning any time soon. But I think his image has now been badly affected by this affair. And as we know image is all in politics. The aura of power.
I think Milliband will grow. To defeat his brother was a monumental achievement. That was a heck of a rite of passage.
I tend to take rather theatrical views on these things

How do you smuggle a plate of shaving foam into a Judicial Inquiry? It's not like you can surreptitiously fill the plate up without anyone noticing, as it makes a FSSSSSSSSSSSSHing noise when it comes out of the can.
Surely the red nose and ginger wig would have given the game away? Oh, sorry, that was Rebekah Brooks..
