I turn to the trusted (Shome mishtake shurly - Ed) tribes of hootoo's Ask for ideas.....
My daughter's boyfriend is 21 at the end of this month. He loves cars and motorbikes, so we're already looking at rally/ driving experience days. He's a talented musician, very into music production. And very tall, if that's relevant.
Any other suggestions for suitable gifts?

If he is very tall you can count out anything that involves wearing a coverallsuit thing - so no velcro days. You may need to look carefully to find a driving experience that he can fit into.

I think the rally idea is brilliant- you can incorporate other ideas in the check points and the general theme. If he's a navigator and the driver doesn't drink you could include navigator *penalties* of a pint or whatever at check points.
Good luck!

Personally for my 21st I got a big brass key and a large, full, personally engraved pewter mug from my family...
The key is a key rack and I still use both- you may want to include the key theme, it was tradition on 21st birthdays in my family (and lots of others).

There's always advanced driving and/or a day's course on a skid-pan?

Too long after, but we have a vintage vehicle day coming up in June, you should definitely take him to that as well

Taff, they're already going to the NW200 !
He's 6' 5", good call on making sure he's not too tall - most of the rally/ driving course websites have a height range.
And daughter would totally veto any stripp---- ! We have a karakoe night planned (it's his party and he'll sing if he wants to!)

If it's before the end of the month, isn't it too late to book a lot of things?
My 21st birthday ended up as a bit of an anticlimax. The presents were good (TV and PS2), and rthe family came over so we could go out for a meal, but the only evening activity was a cinema trip.
I've had better birthdays since. The year before last, we did karaoke booths, which I notice you're looking at. It's certainly an enjoyable night: I recommend a pint or two beforehand, and a bottle of wine once you get there. That's ample lubrication for most peoples' self-consciousness.

I think the only cars Jeremy Clarkson has problems getting into are the original Ford GT40 and the Lambo Diablo.
I'm sure ringing the organisers and asking would solve that problem and it would be a stonking day for him. Also fun for the people accompanying him too. Took my mum to Mallory Park years ago for a driving session and she loved it. Was also got to potter about the inner circuit and see what was going on too.

Karaoke night was booked some time ago (he's got a great swing voice and loves to use it!)
The driving rally thing can be a voucher where he can book a time that suits. Daughter will probably give him that, I just need to think of something from me.

Bomba that's brilliant! And as he's studying at Magee the location isn't a problem either - thank you!
I might see if there's a meal voucher/ entry to a VIP area at the NW200 that I could treat them to.
