What happened here?
Well, in a nutshell, the BBC decided sometime ago to rework all of their sites, including hootoo, so that they somehow all looked kind of the same and strangely like Facebook and Richard Dawkins' site. Oddly enough, the same day that the 'beta' version (it wasn't really a beta version as it didn't actually have much of any functionality) was released, the BBC announced that it was 'disposing of' h2g2 (now called H2G2 for some reason) but it was pressing ahead with the new version which still doesn't work even some time after the release of the 'alive and kicking' version.
It's been a strange time here, Iluvatar. None of us is sure what the future holds.
Sort of like real life.
