This is obviously not important news from the Eds. Thank you for annoying everyone who's subscribed to Announcements...

You can call me TC Posted Mar 10, 2011
Now it's been moved, I thought I ought to answer this one.
Although, actually, I almost can't be bothered to say that I must be the only person on the planet who can take it or leave it. I eat it and enjoy it, but if I don't have it, I don't get withdrawal symptoms and I wouldn't describe myself as a fan.

I love it . I even bought a jar of marmite XO [ extra old ] in a special jar the other week. I can not tell the difference to be honest. Mind you I do slap it on a bit thick. Even neat straight out the jar. MMMmmm.

Spread (thinly) on toast or matzo, it's delicious. If I can spare it, I add a teaspoonful to chicken soup - far better than a stock cube.

I only ever eat marmite when I get the craving - possibly once every three or four months. And then I spread it thinly on toast fingers and dip into softboiled eggs.
If I use the last of the jar I buy a new one immediately so when the craving hits I can indulge. Because when I want it I want it NOW.

Like.
I got hold of a special edition one recently. It was coloured t look like a cricket ball, and was made with the yeast left after brewing the beer specifically for the England Cricket team!
I also tried - and enjoyed - a bar of Marmite chocolate at christmas!
