Funnily enough, "...tool that tests the limits of your imagination..." was pretty much what I was thinking of when I got to that part of the spiel, albeit in relation to the writer rather than the product.

>When unravelled, it is transformed into an incredibly strong, multifunctional, 8 INCH (2.4 meter) long tool that tests the limits of your imagination in its variety of applications.<
Just a slight rewording and
(That's brilliant - I want this guy to sell my grant applications!)

In a world where 8 inches = 2.4 metres .... ??? This must be something to do with relativity.

I was at the central train station earlier. As in many countries, it does seem to attract people with drug or alcohol problems. Which makes me wonder how appropiate it is to have large posters for Pepsi, with little more on them than the text "Stop staring, start drinking".

There's one that has me shouting at teh radio at the minute. I'm paraphrasing from memory but the script is along teh lines of:
"Climbing through the wind, rain and hail to the top of Ben Nevis to admire the view for....10 minutes. Not worth it. £2,000 off your new car - very worth it"
Sorry, if its winding and hailing and raining at the top of Ben Nevis there's not going to be much of a view!

Having been up Ben Nevis in the recent-ish times, and in poor weather, I can vouch for that. But it reminds me that the thing that people do when they get to a (minor) mountain-top is to plant a flag.... no.... break out a wee dram.... no.... send a text message.... yes!

I notice that Comfort is now proclaiming that its fragrances are blended by perfume experts. Yeah, and so are the fragrances for air freshener, soap powder, shampoo, shower gel... You get the picture. It sounds good, but Comfort's USP, is nothing to shout about.

I was doing some on-line clothes shopping. I get describing a colour as Bordeaux or even Wine. However when they started describing a colour as Winetasting, they kind of lost me.

What colour was 'Winetasting'? The colour you get by mixing together the wine that the tasters spit out, perhaps?

Xanatic Posted Jan 31, 2015
To me it looked like Bordeaux. Considering they also had colours described as Zinfandel and Tawny Port, I guess the person describing these things was a bit of a wine enthusiast.

I now work in the paint industry - some of the names they give paint colours are just weird - "Hosta", "White Whisper"???

A few minutes ago, there was a car outside our house emblazoned with "StudentDigz: student and investment property services". The main brand name was in a 'wacky', bubbly font. I simply cannot understand people branding companies that provide serious, sober products and services with kooky or zany names. What investor, planning to lay down a large amount of money, would entrust it to a company with the above name?
They don't even have the Winga Dot Com excuse of wanting to attract financially imprudent people and rack up those default charges.

Just in case anyone is interested in DIY I thought this looked interesting http://www.instructables.com/id/Paracord-bracelet-with-a-side-release-buckle/
I never heard of these before, but if you decide to take one apart it might be useful to know how to put it back together
Personally, I don't think it can replace a good

I once again got a shock when a letter from Collectum came through my door. With that name, they must obviously be some kind of debt collection agency. No, they just handle people's pension.

When it comes to buying clothes online, there's also a website for it that has chosen the odd name Stay Hard. I'm guessing they have problems with spam filters blocking many of their e-mails to people. I also don't feel like ordering from them if it involves receiving a large package with the words Stay Hard emblazoned on the side. People will likely think it contains little blue pills.
