concept laptops from Asus. The design looks, to me, like the sort of white box with minimal buttons type that was so popular in late 70s/80s SciFi set design. My immediate thought on looking at them was Space:1999 or Tom Baker/Peter Davidson era Doctor Who.
Whaddya think?

It does look kind of 80s, which is not a compliment. Computers were ugly back then. I preferred their wooden laptops.

yeah, the steampunk laptops and desktops I've seen are cool. I reckon if a major manufacturer brought one out they'd sell a lot - although perhaps best wait for the economic climate to improve a tad first!

I'm still gutted they're not bringing out a pink version of the NC10, almost made me switch and buy the wind which does come in pink... a pink laptop... how... od... That Asus one sounds kinda cool though, may be worth a look when it comes out, though their bamboo one was just somethign that would take some beating in the steaks
Mind I am the kind of person who thought it was cool when M&S brought out the suit with touch controls for an IPod build into the fabric

No, it should have stickers from obscure synthesizer companies plastered all over it.
