Male or Female?......Gender Test
McKay The Disorganised Posted Apr 5, 2004
I getting hooked on these things - I did the un-intelligence test.
Here is the custom report of your personality that led our team of geeks to conclude (with confidence) that you are resourceful, sly, and guaranteed to get away with everything:
"The subject shows an astounding level of intelligence, and his sense of observation is one of his best qualities. Considering this, he shows a lot of potential, but that's only part of the equation.
"Also, as much as we hate violence, an occasional mauling is one way to solve day-to-day problems like unpleasant coworkers or pesky door-to-door salesmen; he just isn't tough enough, sir, and he avoids any solution that involves violence.
"Finally, the subject displayed a healthy (better than most net freaks anyway) sense of humor, a fair and productive sense of morality, and a hot shot self-confidence. The balance of these three traits is important; high levels of confidence, medium levels of morality, and a good level of humor make for the strongest individuals."

Yesterday I felt like half-man, half-asleep. Today I find I am 4/5 man and 1/5 something else, or maybe I misunderstood the results.

I did not pick one answer on 3 of the questions- I really would have not chosen either so I didn't.
It said I was statisically a male.
Never have been!
I do think I am about 50/50 male-female in a lot of ways.
*female looking*
I figured carrying things in your pockets is "male" and I do.
Not when formally dressed of course!
Defintely a white bedroom rather than blue
On most of them you could tell the stereotypical answer.
It might be fun to see if we agree on that breakdown.

It says I'm 27% gay - less than usual. Apparently most straight females are 32% gay?
However, I did not answer the 'do you ever shave your face?' question with 'I'm a Canadian'.

Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Posted Apr 5, 2004
Yeah, I liked that question... There's another one, can't remember which test which had "Do Canadians suck?" and the answers are "Yes" and "yeah" I think it might be gender... Can't remember...

In the gay test I /don't/ know which one to pick! Female straight or female gay! I never do!

Well, it was 80% certain I was a man. Oh well. They can't get everything right.
And why do women choose blue bedrooms? I'd have thought they'd have wanted to go for light and airy-ness... maybe that's just me then.

Ah sheesh. Now it thinks I'm 55% gay if I said I was a lesbian to begin with, 45% gay if I said I was straight woman to begin with. Either way, it seems a little high for someone who is, pretty much, straight. When I'm looking for the long term, at any rate. Maybe they place too much emphasis on casual sex?

yesterday I was told that I'm definitely male... and today it tells me that I'm more lesbian than the average... maybe I should have another look to reassure myself that I'm female...

There seem several women here who got classified as men by that test, including me, so it looks the testers have to iron out some biases. And maybe widen the scope of the answers a bit, like: yes, no, what the heck's that supposed to tell.

check that, the bias works other way round just the same so it isn't really one, or is it? Is that an overlap or what!

I think most of us have demonstrated that these tests have little value apart from amusement.

I think they've made few too many assumptions about men & women!
I'm the expected percentage gay didn't understand half the questions
I'm one of the 4% who is an Experimenter. Just how many categories are there, there seems to be only 4% of the population in any of them so far!

Rains - Wondering where time's going and why it's in so much of a hurry! Posted Apr 5, 2004
Apparently I'm 59% male
But I'm a girl! OK, I like cars and I understand the offside rule, but still.... there's no way in which I can be mistaken for a bloke. Not even if you were blind .
Though, interestingly, I'm only 14% gay.
Which is a huge reassurance for my boyfriend!
