Dulce De Leche ice cream

My admiration grows!
First you were able to resist for more than an hour a bowl of Dulce de Leche (from a half-gallon, no less!) and now you are eating something healthy -- on a Friday night!
I am in So. Calif., a tad north of downtown L.A., and I have a brand new BIG Whole Foods on the cusp of opening not more than 5 blocks away! I am working on my H-D denial mantra as I type this.
And I'm not currently eating anything, although I've had no dinner -- due to recurrent annoyingly intrusive hiccups from something I shouldn't have eaten so much of this afternoon (sauteed brussel sprouts, if you must know!)
Ohmmmmmmmmm

I've just launched into a heap of beef vindaloo, rice, cucumber raita and an experimental peas-and-coriander thing of my own devising. I suspect this would go very badly with dulce de leche.

It's 09:20 and a bit here and I've recently nibbled on some for breakfast and will soon be nibbling on the tablets I mentioned the other day
Leftover pizza

Currently having the classic Saturday morning breakfast - last night's pizza washed down with a couple of soluble aspirin.
But will shortly be attempting something windswept and interesting with asparagus and a boiled egg...

I dunno, it might not be that bad. Spicy and sweet can get on nicely sometimes. Wouldn't be kosher though.
I just finished off a bag of cheese puffs. I have never felt that cheese puffs go well with dulce de leche. Nor does beer. Beer would go fine with cheese puffs but I don't have any.
BTW Space Cadette, I usually follow any salad with dulce de leche only I didn't have any yesterday.

I'm chewing the inside of my cheek in the attempt to stop myself from getting hungry and fixing a nighttime snack

I've just eaten a home made chocolate truffle made by one of my colleagues. It was so gorgeous, I just can't tell you.

Just ate half a packet of radishes.
I think I might go and get the rest of them, and maybe some watercress.

Just finished a lunch of some of my all time faves - carpaccio, asparagus and chips. With a glass of Cab Sav . And I even had a little sachet of vinegar with me to put on the chips.

I just finished a baby spinach salad, with candied pecans, dried cranberries, crumbled bleu cheese and topped by raspberry vinaigrete (yes I KNOw I spelled it wrong, thank you!)
Forget Dulce de Leche ice cream, I'm going back for seconds on the spinach salad!

A slice of cold pizza, which is much nicer than I was expecting.
