*waves to cutie* Would Having breakfast be a good answer.
Reponse to cl zoomer, nope the links to the same backlog is because at the time, the thread speed could mean it is skipped. Points in it are there to be looked at. I would not want to be the one causing kea's post to be lost, not to silmulpost. You do want people to see backlog.

I hope no one was expecting me to ignore this . I can't believe people haven't moved on from this issue. More to the point, I can't believe folks are sat here speculating about me. It strikes me as a little...odd. Still, nice to have a dedicate fan base.
kea, you first.
>>>"What was particularly appalling for me was Sat's involvement given her place in h2, not only with the support she got when she was computerless herself, but also the huge effort that I have seen many researchers here make to accomodate Sat's personal aggressive style of communication in general (although she has changed this to an extent in recent months)."<<<
I wasn't aware you helped me out kea. I must have missed your name in the short pile of those who contributed. I've justified my behaviour to those who did help me out (as far as I know) and I am passing on the favour as I see fit. It is not up to you to judge me on that issue.
As for the way I behave online, I don't ask anyone to accommodate me unless they want to. If you don't like me, don't put up with me - being polite/nice to me is not something to be used during a discussion as an attempt to degrade or silence me. I will not apologise for being female and having opinions, if you don't mind.
>>>"Most of the anger I saw directed at Sat and aka was a result of people not being able to express their opinions and feelings about what Sat and aka had done without getting trashed for it.
That was in the threads I looked at. I am quite willing to accept that there are threads I haven't read that contain abuse of Sat and aka. I'm also willing to bet that Sat and aka were abusive also.
Abusive communication has nothing whatsoever to do with the kind of technology one is using, and has everything to do with one's personal communication skills, emotional maturity, and capacity to manage conflict. It also has a lot to do with intention."<<<
I was never abusive - and if I was, I was moderated. Again, that's not up to you to think about. My posts were never in the majority of those moderated regarding this issue. As far as I, and others are concerned, I acted like a mature adult. Those that didn't, as far as I could see (and I see a lot more than you think on this topic) those that did abuse, were those who were intent on "punishing" me for my actions regarding this issue.

ReddyFreddy - I change my subline and the order of my name regularly, as I do with my avatars on other sites. I would appreciate it if you didn't attempt to besmirch my name by reading too much into it.

ReddyFreddy & kea -
Another thing I do not like, is making it sound as if I am avoiding a site or a thread because of an issue. My behaviour online is none of your business, and I do use other sites. If you knew a little more about me, you would also know that I am currently in Canada, and therefore 8 hours in front of you.

Conceited? Why do you say that?
It's funny. The folks who have self esteem problems are usually the ones to make a joke out of those who don't...

Reddyfreddy, jab, and crazyhorse. You have fewer points than a beachball, as per usual.

In front? Depends which way you face, I suppose.
Best place to live? We're number 3, the UK is number 14. Best place for technology? UK is 7, we're 8.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/7/20276.html
GDP? The UK is 6, we're 8. Per capita it's Canada 14th, UK 18th.

Time zones? Geographical size? Unemployment figures? Most housing starts?
It's all your point of view, I suppose. Or to put it another way, what the 'L are you talking about?

Interesting site for you:

Actually it might make an interesting *ask H2G2* question or a talking point. Perhaps even an entry.

There's been controversy about the subsidization of the BBC site from the beginning:
http://www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/m0CGN/3739/55661238/p1/article.jhtml
However, since it is the internet it is the site which is subsidized, not the users. In fact this particular site was originally independent and was taken over by the Beeb as a public service. Although it could be argued it was done out of respect as well:
