Sorry to spoil such a poignant image (emotionless pedant that I am ), but 'Who Wants to Live Forever' was written by Brian May, allegedly in the back of a taxi after seeing an early cut of 'Highlander' (the film for which it was written). Highlander was released in 1986, perhaps before Freddie knew he was dying.

For poignancy, try 'The Show Must Go On' or 'These Are the Days of Our Lives', written when Freddie almost certainly *did* know he was dying

OK, I can remember songs by bands taht had one (or fewer) hits from the late Seventies/early Eighties. Hmm, doesn't sound quite so impressive said like that.
