"Didn't somebody do some research recently that suggest that Blair shows some signs of being a psychopath?"
Probably pop-psychology with a humourous edge. Blair probably has some attributes he shares with some psychopaths. So do most of us if we bother looking.

It`s a conspiracy theory waiting to happen. But if the goverment had wanted to kill him, they probably would have done so a while ago. Why wait untill now, where everything is so public? Seems it will only hurt themselves.

I have to say i agree with xyroth in post 17. The goverment is to stupid to kill someone. Anyway tony has had his chance to F**k up the uk (and most of it has worked) maybe they should give some else the chance to F**k are country in the a*s just like they always do.

I was going to say, if I remember correctly there are 30 (or it may be 20) characteristics used to measure for psychopaths. The higher your score the more likely you are to be a psychopath.

Mu Beta Posted Jul 21, 2003
I thought the primary characteristics of a psychopath were red tarmac, white paint and people riding bikes over you.

I don't think Blair had him murdered. It just wouldn't make any difference to the Big Arguement; the damage was already done. Frankly, I think Blair's fate was sealed a long time ago. He might as well just give up because he's never going to have a third term.
What really gets me upset is that Tony Blair is appearing to be upset, but everyone's so used to him lying through his teeth that it's not really having any effect.
This Government just one punch in the stomach after another.

The conspiracy theorists will be quick to suggest that Kelly knew more.
Has anything come up on snopes yet or elsewhere?

Professor SmokeTooMuch Posted Jul 21, 2003
I posted a link back in post 18 but there server is down right now. There's been quite a few emails with links to the site flying around so I guess it's just been overloaded.
It basically was someone who heard a radio interview shortly afterwards where they claimed he was shot in the back of the head. It seems to have changed now slit wrists / pills.
There was also some comments about people who had talked to him whilst he was out walking and said he seemed in good spirts.
A email from him to a friend sent shortly before stating that he can't wait until all this blows over and he can get back to Iraq to carry on his work.
It also mentions the short amount of time before the police stated investigating such a large scale search, normally it's 24/48 hours. There's also cliams that he had been offered safe housing / flack jackets so there may have been fears for he's life.

Mu Beta Posted Jul 21, 2003
Confused. Surely his work in Iraq would've been over anyway. Why would he be looking forward to going back there?

Professor SmokeTooMuch Posted Jul 21, 2003
Don't know. I read that he liked the Iraqi people and wanted to get back to working over there to try and improve things. Not necessarily anything to do with WMD.

I was reminded of Thomas Becket - some versions of the story imply that the King did not really want him killed, but zealous followers too his word too literally.
I doubt that Blair himself, or even close associates would have arranged such a death, but there may well be people on the periphery who would consider taking the law into their own hands, for whatever reason.

Otto Fisch ("Stop analysing Strava.... and cut your hedge") Posted Jul 21, 2003
What a load of nonsense this conspiracy stuff is. There's absolutely no way that this looks like murder. What would be the motivation? What's going on is a political embarrasment, not a matter of national security. During the Cold War, this sort of thing went on. I don't believe that it goes on now, or if it does, it would be for a much much better reason than this. As has already been said, what he had to say has been made public. What could he possibly have to say that only he would know that would be so damaging?
To listen to some people talk you'd think that we were living in some kind of fascist police state, and that Blair was some kind of quasi-Hitler. He isn't. Maybe he's not the Labour leader that a lot of people wanted, but he's the best PM that this country has had in decades, and despite what you read in the right wing media, things in the UK are getting better. I think it's very insulting to accuse basically decent people of *cold blooded political murder* on absolutely no evidence. It's also insulting to those who do live in countries where this kind of thing does happen. We should be aware just how lucky we are.
I can't get that link to open, but if post 32 is a summary, that all sounds very insubstantial, unless it's properly sourced. How could anyone have possibly collected that much information in such a short space of time about a very recent incident? Why would they share it with a website if there's a bunch of murderous MI5 agents around?

Shall we call this Blairgate?
Perhaps some over-zealous nationalist bumped him off and made it look like suicide. He didn't look the type to end his life the way he did.
