Just as in the UK House of Parliament there is a Father of The House - the longest serving memeber, is there an equivalent here?
Exculding italics (who get low U numbers with the job) who from the active researchers has the lowest U number?
Whilst it is a Friday, and I am bored before going home, I'm not sitting down going through the possibilities - a look at who's online right now and Woodpigeon (U30129) takes the lead.
or has this been aked for before elsewhere?
Or am I just trying to fill time before going home?

Well, I don't think Mark Moxon is considered an Italic anymore... or is he? In any case, he's the oldest user time-wise, I think. U13

But you can't really count him as active in the community these days...

Peta was a researcher before she was an italic - and she was a pretty low U-number (low enough to get a signed book...)

C Hawke Posted Apr 25, 2003
Mmmm I think we need a definition of "active" how about posted in the last 1, 2 or 3 months?
Signed book? Who got them then?

U26199 regularly posts, but I'm sure that not long ago I saw a Researcher with a U number in the 15000s online

the first researchers to sign up after the launch of the site on Tomorrow's World won signed books... I seem to remember Peta waiting for hers, and Ginger the Feisty...

You're right, I do regularly post... can't think how you knew my number
Cheerful Dragon has a lower number than mine, I believe... we both signed up when it was publicised on 'Tomorrow's World'...
But a fair few people signed up before then, there must be some still around...

C Hawke Posted Apr 28, 2003
Yep Cheerful Dragon is U26139 - any advances (or the opposite of advances really I guess)?

Witty Moniker joined on March 19th, 1999.
Her number is U15777 and she's still very active, she last posted 9 hours ago.
I met her at the last meet-up.

Regular lurker over the past 4 years - 4 years this is frightening!
Strangely enough I've been looking up U numbers lower than mine (got down to U10746 so far) and have added anyone who made any sort of entry to my list of 'friends'
Enjoy
Happy Birtday to all
