After tonight, I can nominate "Atkinson throws his coat" from the mostly pretty-banal "Johnny English".
Come on you lot, bombard me with your own.

The scene with the Japanese trawler ship thing in "Godzilla"...

Funny, I was gonna nominate Jean Reno's initial scene in Godzilla.
(Whatin God's name possessed you to go and see Johnny English anyhow? )

I saw "Big Daddy" on video. The best moment for me (and the only time I smiled) was when I saw the final credits roll.

In Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
Sherrif: "But why will they follow you?"
Robin: "Because, unlike some Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent".
Shame about the rest of the film...

I hate those films which throw a thin veneer of moral value onto an immoderately morally vacant central character. Thus Vin Diesel in A Man Apart complains about someone smoking in his house, before he goes on a twenty minute shooting-spree in a car park.
There was a good moment in it though, the moment I realised I was being paid to watch it and could leave without feeling robbed!

In 'The Stuff' a man gets 'stuffed' on the wall/ceiling? which is the only good moment.

My mate wanted to go and see it. So there you go.

Robin Hood Men in Tights gets a second vote.
For me, the only funny bit is his quaterstaff fight with Little John (wheret the staffs keep breaking and they end up hurting each others fingers with pencil size staffs).

Brent "Data" Spiner in the otherwise execrable "Independence Day" - "As you can imagine, they don't let us out much..."
The fight scenes in "Equilibrium" - let's face it, they're the only reason to watch it, and the fairly good cast (Christian Bale, Sean Bean, Sean Pertween, Brian Connelly ) are mostly wasted in a bunch of cut-and-paste stuff from Fahrenheit 451/1984/Brave New World/insert future dystopia here. But the voguing-with-handguns business they call "gun-kata" is entertaining and *different*, which is nice.
The climactic lightsabre fight in "The Phantom Menace" - THIS is what Jedi are like at the height of their power and fitness! Forget the moppet in the fighter, forget the Queen and her minions pulling confusing and tedious switcheroos on the guys with the animatronic faces, and for the love of Bod try your best to forget the prancing loon that was Jar Jar Binks - crank up "Duel of the Fates" (surely John Williams's best work in a distinguished career) and revel in Maul's acrobatic, catlike speed and grace, Jinn's serene and controlled power and Kenobi's barely leashed aggression. If you want a SPLIT second, the best shot in the movie is just after Maul has fatally stabbed Qui-Gonn, and the gate restraining Obi-wan is *just* about to open - and Ewan Macgregor bouncing on the balls of his feet in anticipation captures pent-up energy so well, you're just about ready for the blistering highspeed assault which follows.

I, thankfully, can claim to have not seen any of the films mentioned (Godzilla doesn't count, because I turned over after 30 minutes and it was shown on a Sunday evening)...
EXCEPT Robin Hood : Men in Tights, which I think is a top notch film. But then I celebrate the cheesy

"The Gauntlet" was on TV again this week.
The bit where the bullet-riddled house collapses cracks me up.

I second HVL on 'Phantom Menace'.
'Attack of the Clones' - Yoda's lightsaber fight with Duuku (sic).

That was by far the funniest bit of the whole film! The whole audience cracked up, Yoda looked like a green flea!

Faintly ashamed to admit it, but I quite enjoyed Johnny English. A bit of mindless fun does no harm sometimes, I feel. Nothing useful to add to the conversation- I'll get me coat. Before I go - Attack of the Clones *was* a dead loss, and as for that Yoda fight scene - bloody ludicrous it was! How can you take a fight between a man and a Furby seriously?

*sigh* It was the crowning moment in a film that asked the audience to believe too much. Suspending belief shouldn't be an active exercise. However, I like the scene simply for it's over-the-top quality.

There were quite a few funny bits in it though, like that bit where I think it's Ewan McGregor and Sam Jackson walking down the corridor with Yoda floating along on a little platform
