I mean, the aliens would be bad enough, but what with the Secret service, and the men in white coats paying my life the kind of scrutany that only alien creatures or nmen in expensive suits with expensive bugging equipment can perform, does give one a different outlook on how ones life is being controlled by a load of freaks with shape shifting abilities and nutters in white coats, and killer maniacs with automatic weapons and the ability to tap all your phone calls, internet traffic, and hear the sound of a pin dropping in any room in your house They are watching me now, I can feel it

When I saw the subject line, I was reminded of the time my mother tells me about when she was a little girl.

They lived in a "shotgun" house - the kind where the windows and doors in front lined up perfectly with the windows and doors in back.

One day during a summer thunderstorm, the front door was open in the kitchen, and a ball of lightning (no kidding, it was actually ball shaped) came in one door and went right out the other. It would have burnt a hole through the other door (and probably the whole house, for that matter) if it hadn't been for the fact that my grandmother just happened to open that door at that moment.

But it appears that by telling that story, I have taken this conversation off topic.
