What can I do with my life?

sprout - registering and adding your name to a school are separate things. If you register, you can have a good look around without anyone from your school knowing you're there. For instance, i registered and only put myself down for one place of learning. I took ten months before I added myself anywhere else.
And registering is free - then only ask you to cough up a fiver if you actually want to conatct someone!

How??? DUH!...You're using your knowledge to teach others! Applaud teachers! Education takes priority over everything else! Else more people would end up completely unable to do a job and end up on the dole, then Bourne, you're supporting people for nothing at all!!!
I'd rather pay more for people to go to University than end up paying for them to sit at home watching daytime telly!! Is that not pretty sensible logic??
You can do anything you want with your life, as long as you realise that you have to work for it. Truly, whatever you fancy doing, you can do it if you're willing to spend the time learning how. You are truly responsible for your own life.

I wouldn't feel qualified to teach a subject at secondary level unless I had the degree level knowledge that goes behind it and supports it.

Honey if you can afford to spend time learning - carry on learning as much as possible!!
That advert on telly makes me want to teach! I'm not great at explaining things though, and don't know if I could handle kids all day every day!!

I've commented before that that advert is very good. It's clever and persuasive at the same time. I'm in much the same position as you on that score, Queegle.

In reply to earlier post, you do have to have a degree to be able to teach at secondary schools, and a teacher training degree as well. Though, once you've qualified as a teacher, you have some leeway as to the range of subjects you can teach; Including to an extent those not directly related to what you have a degre in.
