IT'S SNOWING!
PQ Posted Dec 10, 2002
It snowed on my car this morning for about 30 seconds with miniscule snow...I grinned all the way into work I love snow.
I'm going home to Lpool the weekend before x-mas and I always seems to get snowed in when I go up there

I've just thought ...snowing isn't uncommon, the important questions is: Is it sticking????

It's getting less
But yes, it is sticking...
I think we'll have a blanket of it in the morning!

Blah, its stopped. It hardly ever settles properly in Bristol anyway, something about the hot air from the gulf stream being channeled towards it by Exmoor and the Brecon Beacons apparently...

It tried to snow here at about 3:30pm, just a couple of small flakes though (they must have blown over from Bristol-the wind is strong enough, but not the right direction).

We do get snow every once in a while though...but it barely makes an inch.
Although a few years ago, I do remember playing in the streets when they were all iced over...at midnight, skidding around...fantastic...

That was mad,I remember that, frozen rain, its called. 1cm of ice over everything, made walking to town down the Wells road interesting...

Saturnine Posted Dec 10, 2002
Think it must have been '99 when that happened...there is a wicked hill near where I live like a 45 degree slope...safe to say, I managed to get to the top and slide all the way down in my oversized Doc's...
*flinches at the memory of falling over*

It almost never ever snows in Brighton. Come to think of it, there is rarely any frost either. I suppose it must be some micro-climate type of affair due to the town being trapped between the sea and the South Downs, cold air never makes it this far.

Bristol tends to get the best and the wort of the weather...I'm sure of that...

We've got that frozen rain in Brussels this morning. I managed 100m on my bike before nearly coming off in front of a car and giving up and walking.
There's cars with dents in all over the place, including 6 in a big heap at the top of the hill near my house!
