So I'm not the only pi$$ed insomniac UK resident then?

I believe it said something along the lines of (and forgive the Beer translation smiley - smiley )

"If you believe in alien civilisations then why not log onto the bbc website. Go to BBCi and tlk about you ideas on www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2"

Didn't ACTUALLY say we were h2g2 but that was the URL.

So, how many stargaters here?

*ps I assume the thinking was, anyone watching stargate this time of night on a saturday and not pi$$ed in a pub is probably a geek, hey, ain;t hootoo full of geeks? I know, lets send them to HooToo"

Marketing droids, first against the wall come the revolution.

I'm surprised. With that kind of line, you'd think they'd point people to http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult wouldn't you?

Evidently whoever came up with that one hasn't realised our full potential yet. However, we are linked to from some other areas of BBCi - like the BBC Crime page about the Special Constabulary, which links to my Edited Entry on the subject smiley - biggrin

That's why I thought it odd!

I am used to being given the link to '/cult' after most Star Trek episodes, Buffy, Superman and the like - not that I own up to watching any or all of the aforementioned of course smiley - winkeye
Maybe it is because the Beeb don't have access to the spin-off SG series, so were looking for somewhere to direct those fans? smiley - boing

Perhaps because we ladies on the drool thread constantly discuss Jack, Daniel and even old turtle face himself, General Hammond.

That is when we aren't discussing the male cast of Andromeda, 24, X Files and any number of film stars.

That really would have made the ol' man explode, Stargate then a mention of h2g2.

He would have accused me of setting it all up.

Maybe it was because, if you type 'stargate' into the BBC search engine, the first 6 examples all point to h2g2! smiley - smiley

Oh, are they doing it? We heard that they were going to trail us, but after sci-fi is a bit misleading I think. Although where else they would put us I don't know.
