i have noooooo idea... it was a very strange momment. i actually wondered if watching tv while typing and reading had finally scrabbled what little grasp on reality i still have remaining.

Didn't ACTUALLY say we were h2g2 but that was the URL.

Evidently whoever came up with that one hasn't realised our full potential yet. However, we are linked to from some other areas of BBCi - like the BBC Crime page about the Special Constabulary, which links to my Edited Entry on the subject

I am used to being given the link to '/cult' after most Star Trek episodes, Buffy, Superman and the like - not that I own up to watching any or all of the aforementioned of course
Maybe it is because the Beeb don't have access to the spin-off SG series, so were looking for somewhere to direct those fans?

That really would have made the ol' man explode, Stargate then a mention of h2g2.

He would have accused me of setting it all up.

I heard it. I just assumed they meant to point people at "Cult", and missed...

Maybe it was because, if you type 'stargate' into the BBC search engine, the first 6 examples all point to h2g2!

I'm deeply suspicious that some people at the BBC are still thinking h2g2=sf= - will they ever learn?

Oh, are they doing it? We heard that they were going to trail us, but after sci-fi is a bit misleading I think. Although where else they would put us I don't know.
