I've noticed that too. But when women are sitting about with their alcohol, the subject isn't always shoes and shopping!

Having mainly men in my social circle, I can assure you that they do talk about their friends as well!

That would mean that as soon as a woman joins the circle, the subject changes to the female version of absent friends. Which should make women the strongest link

Hmm, well, maybe. But when my other half get s together with a mate of ours, they *always* start talking about one of our other friends. And I'm normally keeping out of it!
