No, you merely need to change your destination to a place you can get there from, and if you can't get THERE from here, give up on your first destination as even the interim points are ungettoable. In short, nothing less will do than a complete reevaluation of your priorities in reaching places. Why do you want to go there anyway?

I think you need to stop trying to get there, and then you probably will. Try Dirk Gently's Zen navigation methods.

haven't read that book. held it against my forehead once and chanted "Om om pom pom de dom." But nothing happened.

Ah, then I think you should read the Dirk Gently books. There's a lot of the sort of thing you describe in them - you may find a helpful hint.
If you can go back to where you were just before you got lost, and try to remember what you were thinking, then you may find yourself there. That kind of tactic always works in Star Trek.
