I've heard dysons ain't too sharp on wooden/hard floors anyhow, and I've only got one carpeted room in my house really Mind I do have a 'special' hoover, it has no branding, no serial number, no identifying marks on it at all, its just silver, chrome and I don't even know where it came from I just kinda inherated it mind, the hoovery attachment doobry isn't too great on it, and I think it may need emptying

I've got two, one for the bedroom which has carpet and one for the rest of the place which is wood and tile. One's a *Eureka* and one's a *Dirt Devil* so I feel like I'm a bit of a traitor to the cause (although technically over there they are both hoovers I suppose...)

I tend not to ever bother hoovering upstiars as its all wooden varnished floorboards, and then tiles on the bathroom floor, a broom and a bucket and mop do the job probably easier

We actually have a Dyson-type hoover (hey, not my fault, my parents buy that stuff!) and it works quite well on our tiles and carpets.
