Ok I actually have an unfortunate aquaintance called Richard Head. And please let us not forget the father of Phil and Gary Neville (the Manchester United defenders) who is unfortunately called Neville Neville.
My parents also have a friend who married a man called John Jack. For years they had to constantly check whether her new surname was John or Jack.

My intials used to be ME. Regularly at school when you had to initial a piece of work, the teacher would ask which clever dick wrote "me", and then they would realise.
Also at the school there was a girl by the name of Raquel Welch. A beauty she was not

Demon Drawer's reference to Neville Neville reminded me that I have met in my lifetime 5 people - unrelated to each other - who had the name Alexander Alexander.

I just saw an article that they seems to have found the breeding ground for Blue Whales. Something they´ve been looking for for years. The guy who lead the operation was Dr Bruce Mate.

I've often wondered what the Head of Channel 4, one Michael Jackson, thinks of his weirder namesake in the music industry.
And hats off to the ex Irish Foreign Minister, Mr Richard Spring, who was quite happy to be known as Dick

Or Mike Hunt - There was someone called that once at my school, but I never knew him.
In one of my friend's family the first son was always called George Henry, with the name reversed to Henry George for the next generation. His parents managed to alienate the whole family by breaking the chain after about 12 generations and calling their son Tim. Not necessarily a daft name, but certainly a daft naming convention.

Also, the headteacher at my secondary school was called Mrs Headon.
