Well, I do ask girls out. I just mentioned this case, as I did not get rejected straight away.
But it's the same pattern as before though. When she thought it was just something friendly, she was okay about it. But when I mentioned about going to a restaurant, and showing an interest in her she declined. That often happens, I can be friendly with some girl and things are alright. But if I happen to actually ask them out or similar, they act scared or so and then start avoiding me. Which is one of the reason why I might not ask a girl I like out, if I don't at least I might get to enjoy her company.

Finding a girl you actually like is the real trick at the end of the day. I have had a small, but impressionable, series of disasterous relationships with young ladies who were totally unsuitable for me.

All I can really say is keep striving for that ultimate goal, that's what I'm doing, and if I find a nice friendly girl who has a nice friendly friend, I'll let you know.

Until then, don't give up!

I really should learn from my mistakes, and go over to the dark side. Last week a few of my male colleagues was also discussing this. Treat a woman well and you will get nowhere. I've lost out on so much by considering their feelings and other stuff like that.

Well Denmark didn't work, Holland didn't work, Asia didn't work and Ireland didn't work. But in april I will be heading to Prague on holiday for two weeks, so let's see if Czech Republic works for finding girls who like me.

Think Bob got it right. Think it's about timing too, I'm pretty sure if my guy and I had met a couple of years ago, we wouldn't have got together, but now we're both a lot more chilled than we were then.

I've ended up going home with this czech bird a couple of times recently.

Well, I'm back from Bohemia. And I must say Czech girls do really look good and seem quite nice too. Much more my type than Irish I'd say. Also I did actually manage to get lucky, thanks to deciding not to be nice. Sadly it did end up hurting someone quite a bit, and I'm not sure I have the heart for this Dark Side stuff. Damn those Nice Guy Dilemmas.

Don't get me wrong, it was great to get a girl into bed. And to even have her like me as well. I just feel bad about hurting her, and it would have been better if this sort of thing could be done without tears.

But how did you hurt her, exactly - if it was just "Er, sorry, but I'm going back to Cork tomorrow" but you really liked her, then you can surely breach the hurdles presented simply by distance between you.

If you said "Well, that was nice, here's 10 Euros, go and buy yourself an ice cream. Bye!" or something equally unfeeling and crass, then I don't know what to suggest. (Not that you would, I've known you long enough to realise that that is not your style)

You probably don't want to divulge what the "hurt" was about, and we can respect that, but without any idea of what went on, we can't suggest a way of making it good.
