I had a major win 10 problemfirstly I couldn't get it to do a successful system restore ? and then it wouldn't even allow me to log in etc ? A close friend told me that many many programs will not work with 10 nowand it looks like one of mine is in conflict. Luckily, windows 10 does it's own diagnostics and will give various "remedies" of which most didn't resolve anything, the last one was to various "wipe-out" options back to previous O.P "oh well lets go" the option I chose was to reinstall with only microsoft stuff on. It reinstalled itself and put a folder on the "desktop" with all the "apps" ie: mozilla's/anti virus/cleaners etc etc. so now I'm slowly trial and error putting stuff back on, making restore points along the way. Some programs will not actually load now.

My deepest sympathies. Don't Google for Windows 10 bugs. No point adding depression to your list of problems.

Glad I saw this, I was beginning to think of updating my one and only Windows machine, think I will wait a while.
I only keep the windows machine to run some software that doesn't play well with wine, all my other machines are on Linux, mostly Mageia.
