Hello Adrian, I have started this new thread so that we could have a more private chat. Let me see if you can find it.

Popped back during half time that little rascal Renaldo is doing it again. Dipping and diving. Glad you found us. I did not know that nobody else can pop in. I have been talking on the Freak board for some time and couldn't understand why nobody else had joined in. Now I know.

Hi Cookie,
It's a shame this thread shows up on the conversations list, that means everyone can read it.
If you would like a private chat via e-mail I can post an e-mail address on here that I don't use often, and if you send an e-mail to that address, I'll then give you my proper one.
I don't mind talking about my situation on here, but as I'm sure you've witnessed in your work, it's a situation that people tend to either accept that person or begin to avoid them.
I've met some great people on here, people I now class as friends, and I don't want to spoil that. Of course I can joke about my situation, but deep down I still suffer a fair bit.
Thanks for listening.

you are sensible to keep things to yourself a bit.
I hope you have a support network within your family at least, although it is true you can choose your friends but not your family.
I would be happy to chat to you if you would like to give me an email address. I certainly don't know all the answers but I have spent many hours talking to people who after wards have thanked me just for being there to listen. Most people don't need advise they just need an ear.
Well my ear is all yours. Just watched Portugal get beaten by the Germans. I don't think I have ever wanted the Germans to win anything. Football has even unified Europe. <cheerup

Hi guys! You seem to be posting messages in <./>MiscChat</.>, which is not a good idea if you want it to be private. Most of us can see the messages if we want too...
Also, things like email addresses will no doubt be 'd which means someone will come upon it and send it to the mods. h2g2 is *not* a chat site, but chatting is allowed as long as it benefits the community. Most people here write stuff for the Edited-Guide which then goes to PeerReview and work their way around the site doing useful things while chatting to friends. Don't feel for one minute that I'm being a party-pooper 'cos I'm not. It's just that if your conversations take up more time from the mods than is deemed to benefit the site, your conversations will either be locked or your accounts reviewed.
Have fun, play safe!

Hey guys,
Cookie, you and Adrian are not hootoo-registered which is why your personal spaces don't 'work' the same way as ours do. I guess you guys are registered with another dna MB and have found your way over here.. If you email the Powers That Be (the big cheeses here ) They will definitely help you sort it out. Each one of you go ahead and email them and have them help you convert your accounts to h2g2. Then we can all leave you messages on your personal spaces

Thank you for all of your suggestions and help. What a considerate group you are. I think Adrian and I will manage a chat or two. I wonder sometimes if there are places that you can actually chat to which are more councelling sites. If there are none. We should start one. I know there is not much money around for these things but people sometimes do need a bit of one to one time with someone who they can trust and they feel is a bit knowledgeable.
Again thank you for being such a really nice buncha people, I respect that.
