Hallo,
I will have to do some French correspondence at work every now and then, and much sooner than expected my speed in learning allows it.
Can someone please help me, so my letters don't sound too stupid in French? I can look the works up, but I am not certain if it is proper business correspondence if I do so.
Following in French would do for a start...

Dear Sir / Dear Madam / Dear Sirs or Madames,
referring to our telephone conversation (fax....) we can offer you transport as follows:
full load truck / xxx kilos
from.... to...
We hope our offer meets your expectations and are looking forward to doing business with you in future.
Yours sincerely

Thank you for your help
Tina

..So Matodemi, how is the weather in Dusseldorf? My ex Stepmother, Edith, came from there before coming to Australia...

Today it was grey, it is getting colder, but last week we had a couple of nice and lovely autumn days.
How is the weather on the other side of the world?
...and isn't the world small, when your ex stepmother comes from Düsseldorf...

Yes indeed..the world is shrunk by hootoo.. You have Autumn now, and it is our Spring.. The weather is getting warmer by the day..33C yesterday and the same for today. I live in the city of Wollongong.."Between The Mountains and The Sea" so we rarely get days above 40C in Summer. But, the most lovely beaches are nearby so it it is easy to go and cool off..
Here is a link to my home city, where many Germans live btw...

You look lovely, matodemi.....I remember the second photo now, because there was a thread going where you ladies were talking about hair and hairstyles and hair colouring...

I don't know about talks about hairstyles, this photo was made at the meeting in Wuppertal
only time I talk about hairstyle is when asking my kids if I shall let my hair grow or have it shortcut... (and they never answer)

.....I had the wrong thread ...I think it was a thread of malabristas where people were talking about the mini-meet in the Golden Bathroom... it was so funny..
I will read the posts about the two meets, as a quick glance was not enough to take it all in...
Stephen
P.S. There is even a Club Germania here in Wollongong..and it is very nice and friendly...just like the people...

oh yes, we discussed the bathroom (worth seeing it)
...seems that Germans are all over the world, what is funny though is that when I see German communities on TV there seem to be out of the world, meaning they usually are like it was here about 50 years or more ago, not the Germany of today. But then that is natural, since people took their habits with them when they left and didn't see the development here.
I don't know any Australians at the moment, I only met one once, on a train, when I was on my way to England (ages ago). He was nice, had German ancestors and even spoke a little German (I was eager to speak English though).
