My favourite classical composer is Beethoven, it is not just for his music but that he was a maverick, and radical thinker. His close friends were members of the literati class who were the movers and shakers of their times.
His music was seen as departure of the conventual music at that time. He brought a fresh of air into the music world by the way he composed music, his ideas and they way they were performed. He was a ground breaker and he lived a very conventual life style as well.

erratum: Beethoven live a very unconventual life style and many female admirers and lovers amongst the upper classes.

Modern music: The Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Flloyd, The Stranglers, Wet Wet and Run-Rig (Scottish Gaelic folk band), I also enjoyed listening to the Soul/disco music of the 70's ie When will there be a Harvest for the World.

My choice of music is Punk Rock, as you will probably know if you paid any attention to my quotes in the Library of LeisureDistrict.
Not that crappy pop-punk(Pop-Punk?? Surely thats a contradiction in terms) i.e Blink182, Sum41 etc... Although, i do kinda like Bowling for Soup... But i do have my reasons.
My favourite bands are NoFx, Pennywise, 98 Mute(they split!!! nooooo), Union 13, Dead Kennedys, The Clash, well, if its a punk band, and it has actual views, then i am most likely into them, you know?
I have a real problem with pop music. Mostly this boyband, and Pop Idol culture. It is the most extreme form of arrogance to me.
How people can pass off some miming dancers off as music must be the most arrogant toosels in existence.
I really cant stand cheesy pop music. I could rant on about it all day, but i wont! Are you chuffed? Bet you are!
I do enjoy some R'n'B, and music like that, although i do have a problem with this Garage music, and this MC'ing culture. How those "Rudebowys" and "Rudegyals" can go up there and blantently lie about everything they talk about is beyond me.
But other than that, nearly everything is ok.
There isnt really any such thing as bad music.
I say music. not miming, dancing, or lying.

I am very but I was only a member of the LD quotes room for a short time and it was only until someone pointed out that it existed when I was here which was in September that I found out its existence. Please do not say if anyone paid attention as I was there only short time so I would not have seen them. I had very little impression in the pol room as you would not probably have known me. I contributed very little as was not there alot. I know I am very stupid and backward but I did not see your quotes about music. I only went into the pol room and then not very often. I was for the very forgettable Padawan or Jedi woman when I was there for a very short time. It took a week after I was told of its existence how to find it and then another week on how to use, that shows how thick I am.
You must make allowances as I am very stupid and backward person.

Erm..... yes! lol
I very much doubt you are stupid.
I did know of you in your time at LD. I did often go into the political section, but did not put quotes in as much as i should have. But, most of my views are very extreme, and leftist, and i didnt bother putting them in, as i knew they would not be accepted.

I rarely went into the other rooms. Poltics: I hope that one day we will evolve away from the feudalistic and the divide and rule concepts of society to a more harmonized way of goverment through co-operation of people. I hope that the concept of them and us, the class system & all the man-made divisions will disappear, that we will celebrate, welcome & respect diversity in people.
