loup... thanks for the links. I`ve enjoyed having a look at them tonight but I shall get a better look tomorrow. Brilliant band. Like a fine wine, they just get better and better with age.

Kow..... how could I not include Bon Jovi?! Don`t like them THAT much though do I?!

The songs. I vaguely remember all four so I guess I`m a little more antiquated than Kow (but NOT MUCH!)

It's the cover versions I remember

Kow I heard one of them Sugar, Sugar on the Simpsons and made me remember of all the pop songs I used to listen and sing to when I was a little girl.

I remember these songs when they first came out. I even remember the Beatles films of their tours and Yoko and Lennon. It shows my age. I just wondered if anyone remembered the songs when they first came out in the 60's and early 70's.

Spirit In The Sky.... no `cover version` could compete with the original. Laws above, when are these so-called `latests` going to come up with their OWN songs and leave the better versions alone!! Wasnt it Gareth Gates who did a cover version of `Unchained Melody`!!?! A good try but nothing on the original.

SOMEONE told me today that an attempt has been made at a cover version of a song from `The Sound of Music`.... ie... `My Favourite Things`!! Now THAT, I just gotta hear.
