Fleetwood Mac profile
The original Fleetwood Mac band was formed in July 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. Both of whom had recently left the John Mayall's Bluesbreakers band . They secured a recording contract with Blue Horizon Records before a second guitarist joined the band. Bob Brunning, was recruited into the line-up, until a further Mayall bass guitarist, was finally persuaded to join the new band. Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, as the group was initially called, made its debut on 12 August 1967 at Windsor's National Jazz And Blues Festival.
The first album of the band , released on Blue Horizon in February the following year, reached the UK Top 5. The group also enjoyed two minor hit singles with "Black Magic Woman", and "Need Your Love So Bad", as well as "Love That Burns". A third guitarist, Danny Kirwan was added to the band September 1968. Christine Perfect also joined the band she was a pianist from Chicken Shack,

Runrig
The name of the Scottish Band Runrig was taken from an old Scottish oil field system of agriculture. Runrig is a Scottish band they have created a perfect blend of traditional Gaelic, Folk and Rock.
This is not only seen in the words of the songs, but in their music as well. Calum and Iain pound their traditional Scottish drums as Malcolm blares his electric Bagpipes or that he can make his electric guitar shriek while Rory's fingers dance about the accordion.
The lyrics to the songs are also completely original. The songs cover a rich variety of topics. They reach out to their brothers in the violence-torn Ireland with Eirinn. Many of their songs take a look at the history of their own country as in Siol Ghoraidh, and the history of other countries in songs such as A Dance Called America and Rocket to the Moon. An example of their political views in their songs can be seen in Tear Down these Walls in Our Earth Was Once Green and as well as the general state of the world in World Appeal. The songs even cover the subject of religion in The Apple Came Down.
Runrig started in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1973 as a 3 piece band playing traditional Gaelic. The next year, Donnie Munro joined alongside the brothers Calum and Rory MacDonald and Blair Douglas. Their first three albums were sung in their Gaelic, but only when they entered the music world of the English language then their music came more widely known.
The band conists of Calum MacDonald, Rory MacDonald, Malcolm Jones, Iain Bayne, Bruce Guthro and Brian Hurren.

Here is a song that my Mother used to sing to me.
PRETEND(Lew Douglas / Cliff Parman / Frank Lavere)
Nat King Cole - 1953
Ralph Marterie - 1953
Eileen Barton - 1953
Tab Smith - 1957
Carl Mann - 1959
Pretend you're happy when you're blue
It isn't very hard to do
And you'll find happiness without an end
Whenever you pretend
Remember anyone can dream
And nothing's bad as it may seem
The little things you haven't got
Could be a lot if you pretend
You'll find a love you can share
One you can call all your own
Just close your eyes, she'll be there
You'll never be alone
And if you sing this melody
You'll be pretending just like me
The world is mine, it can be yours, my friend
So why don't you pretend?
(instrumental interlude)
And if you sing this melody
You'll be pretending just like me
The world is mine, it can be yours, my friend
So why don't you pretend?

Here is one of my favourite songs from my favourtie rock band.
ELO
Electric Light Orchestra
You got me runnin' goin' out of my mind,
You got me thinkin' that I'm wastin' my time.
Don't bring me down,no no no no no,
I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don't bring me down.
You wanna stay out with your fancy friends.
I'm tellin' you it's go to be the end,
Don't bring me down,no no no no no no no no,
I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don't bring me down.
Don't bring me down,grroosss
Don't bring me down,grroosss
Don't bring me down,grroosss
Don't bring me down.
What happend to the girl I used to known,
You let your mind out somewhere down the road,
Don't bring me down,no no no no no,
I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don't bring me down.
You're always talkin' 'bout your crazy nights,
One of these days you're gonna get it right.
Don't bring me down,no no no no no,
I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don't bring me down.
Don't bring me down,grroosss
Don't bring me down,grroosss
Don't bring me down,grroosss
Don't bring me down.
You're lookin' good just like a snake in the grass,
One of these days you're gonna break your glass.
Don't bring me down,no no no no no no no no,
I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don't bring me down.
You got me shakin' got me runnin' away
You get me crawlin' up to you everyday,
Don't bring me down,no no no no no,
I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor
Don't bring me down.
