Akak: *to the room in general.* Does this sort of thing happen often?

*Sharp grins a bit, but it is not sure whether this is to stifle a laugh, or just because he is kind of an oddball.*

"Well, with a scythe-rod, it is perhaps a bit unorthodox to others. Heh. A blade is a blade though. As long as it isn't an axe that chops a hole in the table, I bet most shapes work alright."

[Sharp]: *Looks out the window at a vague-silhouetted figure some ways off among the other people in the street, shaking a fist.*
He does it at an angle, so that they probably won't see him.

"Well Gandark, it might work to scare monsters or distract trolls. I'm not sure if that was the purpose that the earl had originally intended,- but_ ah, no matter."

Akak: Who do you dislike, that you shake your scythe at him? And,on an unrelated subject, how does one go about joining a ... quest in these parts?

[Jack] well, sometimes qeusts come to you. others, you have to look yourself! Just wait a while and I'm sure SOMETHING will happen... It always does...

[Sharp]: "I did not. I was,"
*puts his monocle back in a coat-pocket*
"merely... looking."

*Then examines his fingernails as though they had lots of dust under them.*

"Well now, a quest, eh? If you be needing equipment for before you start, mine is a shop that carries some potions and explosives. There is a smithy down the road from it. It's always interesting to visit the king, and see if he has something he may need help with."

[Sharp]: *He then flicks his fingers and produces a business card from his opened hand*

"...?"

*Sets it down on the table*
"Hmm, well."

Akak: I thank you for the advice. Tell me, does one need an appointment to meet the king?

[Sharp]: "Um, it helps. Assuming the guards aren't afraid of you, you can make one right up front I think."

[Sharp]: "Oh and, you're welcome too by the way."
*Here Sharp nods and then lifts a mug, drinking mead*

Akak: I thank you. *Raising his own mug* Your health. *Drinks*

[Sharp]: "Uh, thank you. Huh."
*Places his now empty mug down*

"So,- shadowswords then, eh?"

Akak: Yes, they are a very useful weapon.

[Sharp]: "...Especially for one such as your self."
*Raises mug, as though about to go "cheers" but then realizes that it is empty, and sets it down again*
Oops.

Akak: I'll get these. *Signals to inkeeper*. Yes, shadowswords have their uses, but they are not the full extent of my powers.

[Sharp]: *Adjusts his monocle, while raising the other eyebrow just a bit more noticeably*

"Well, um gee... thank you. I would not speculate,- that these were. Er, that those were. You get,- what I am trying to say, no?"

*then takes off the eye-piece and begins polishing it instead with a litle cloth*

Akak: No. I am afraid that I do not understand what you are trying to say.

[Sharp]: "Oh" *here he pockets his monocle away*
"Well, then maybe I don't either. Wizards are weird sometimes... people say that anyway. Some places."

*Shrugs a bit*

Akak: Indeed? I have never heard it said that wizards are strange. Evil, insane, possessed in one instance, but never strange. *Grins*

[Sharp]: *Feels as though there is a big glowing neon sign pointing at himself for a second or two, even though it has not been invented yet... which makes it all the odder*

"Perhaps this is because I am also an iventor."

*Shrugs... trying not to snort into his mug as he does so*
