[Yar] That they won't like? Okay, lemme show you my prototype Epsilon 9000!
[Ape] What's that do?
[Yar] I thought you'd never ask.
[He reaches into a bin and pulls out a FHG (Frickin' Huge Gun).]
[Yar] This, when fired, causes a MASSIVE explosion.
[Ape] How does it do that, then?
[Yar] By, uh, exploding. I haven't got it to work EXACTLY right.

Would you like to have it Sarge ?

[Ape] Hmm ... Pending further development on the Epsilon 9000s, I suggest storing the prototype in a place where it will be easily stolen by STUMPED. And then hiding ourselves in a bomb selter.

OK.
Can we have something a bit more user-friendly and villain-unfriendly ?

[Yar] No, never been outside the US, but I /have/ managed to develop the Epsilon 9001s, which cause an explosion like this.
[He pulls out an Epsilon 9001 and pushes a button marked "Auto Titanium Barrier-Maker." A large titanium barrier appears across the room.]
[Yar] You may want to duck.
[He points and squeezes the trigger. A green bolt of energy lances out at the barrier, which explodes, sending debris all over the place.]
[Yar] Nice, huh? Unfortunately, they can only be used once. And the "Auto Epsilon 9001-Maker" is WAY too big to carry around.

Been in Norway for a couple of days but I'm back now and am looking at the Epsilon 9001 anxiously wondering if it is related to the Hal 9000

[Yar] Nah. Hal's an insane supercomputer. The Epsilon 9000 series are insane guns. Completely different. ... I guess.

Sergeant Mushroom Posted Mar 23, 2003
They have the same basic insaneness. But are they cost effective if you can only use them once?
Hang on... everything is in my cupboard, right? So as soon as you invent something, at least one copy must appear in my cupboard. Wayhey, a never ending supply

[Yar] Yeah, I guess you can go with that. Make sure you put the used ones back in, though -- we don't want STUMPED getting their hands on even an inoperative Epsilon 9000.

[Yar arrives from another forum. He walks up to the Yar from /this/ thread, and the two of them merge.]
[Yar] Okay, so, my next on-and-off project will be to make a door that /always/ goes into the Matrix back-corridors from The Matrix Reloaded.

*comes into collect*
Is that urgent job ready Yar ?

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Apr 2, 2004
[Yar] [blandly] Which specific urgent job?

I can't remember which job either.
*scratches vest to release odour of busy activity*
We must have STUMPED thinking that we are working on something very imprtant and very urgent.
