Aloe Vera juice/yoghurt works well so long as the inflamation's only mild (in me - some people swear by it but I've gone past that stage already)

I've been using a mix of lavender and *checks* peppermint smiley - erm to aid with the breathing but prolonged use can dry you out even more - as for homeopathic help with the IBD there's not much to go on, yet though some local Chinese herbalists claim to be able to help, not sure whether to give them a try (Z would do his nut in! smiley - yikes)

For a start you'd use eucalyptus to help with a cold (breathing)..peppermint is for nausea!

A friend of mine haad a really bad excema flare up a while ago on her hands..so bad her skin was like sandpaper n she couldnt move her hands in the morning! I persuaded her to let me rub soome lavender oil into them (diluted in a base) n by the timid finisghed itd started going down n didnt flare again for days..
