h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'v checked the armory page for the terranic forces, I have had access to an infantry anti-ballistic shield since before this portion of the quest started, as such I have one.

*The round someone fired stops at the edge of Isard's anti-ballistic shield, he picks the bullet out of the air and tossess it aside, in case it is explosive. He then turns his attention to Jade*

Hey, your fight is with me Jade!

[Yar] Oh, and one Terranic, too. [to Isard] Mind if we lend you some supporting attacks?

Supporting attacks of what kind against whom?

[Yar] Making it easier for you. Against Jade, unless you've got other ideas.

Well, I want to fight Jade one on one, but if you could keep the others off my back, that would be great!

*Suddenly comes back through from his meditation and a wicked smile flashes across his face.*

*Suddenly appears behind Yar, holding his poisoned claymore tightly agaist his throat. So tightly that just swallowing would cause a break in his skin allowing the fell poison to enter his blood stream.*

*glances about*

If you people can move faster than bullets, then I'm using my Anti-paladin magick.

Skullock, I can't move faster than bullets, I have a shiney new infantry anti-ballistic shield that stops bullets from entering a certain area around me, and thus stops bullets from entering my body. If anyone thinks I don't have this, too bad it has said it is available since before this portion of the quest started. Any way, anyon who says they are moving faster than bullets is an idiot and is not playing right. I myself have made this mistake but was put in my place by Myst.

*Isard puts a steaming cup of under Jade's nose, to help the waking up process*

[Yar closes his eyes and starts concentrating on something. A young woman in a black trenchcoat and grey track suit appears, who can only be seen and heard by Yar and Mackenzie.]

[Yar] [telepathically] Oh, it's you. So are you coming for me?

[Woman] Just in case.

[Yar] [telepathically] Wonderful. But, c'mon, Death, I had plans for tomorrow.

[Death] [which is who the woman is ] We'll see.

[Yar] [telepathically] Just you watch. Mackenzie?

[Mackenzie telekinetically grabs the knife and sends it flying. Meanwhile, Yar moves his left leg up very fast in an attempt to kick Skullock in the naughty bits. Death shrugs.]

Jade: *raises an eyebrow at Death and nods in her general direction, approving of her presence* Have you seen War of late...? She's been busy, so I've heard... *Jade grins and turns to Isard* You wish to duel with me Isard...? *She flicks her blades from the sheath on her back and flicks them about in her hands in an experimental flourish* Perhaps you ought to heed the near-warning Yar has been trying to convey in your general direction. *Without a hint of warning, Jade rushes at him and stabs one of the blades in his left leg, jumping around to the back of him and placing a silken arm about his neck (think headlock, only gentler). She takes her other hand (still holding her other blade, mind you,) and holds the blade somewhat roughtly against Isard's neck* Move but an inch and I will draw the blade across your neck.

Booya! Who needs now, ya?

*A yell can be heard from up the hill at the front of the base, at F108649?thread=236710&latest=1#p2867675.

A cloud of dust hurtles down towards the chain-link fence surrounding the dock area.

It hits the fence, bending the aforementioned fence over to the horizontal, before being catapulted vertically by the recoil.*

*As the dust disperses in mid-air, Euan can be seen moving at high speed. A small trail of blood follows him, describing a near perfect parabola in the air. He hits the ground and literally bounces, dislocating his shoulder and breaking his left ankle.

As he returns to the ground again, he hits a limosine, causing multiple abrasions and two broken ribs to himself and a nasty scratch on the paintwork to the car. Plus a dent in the roof.

After hitting the car, he rolls along the ground, moaning more than a little, before falling off the edge of the dock into the water.*

*A blur of dispersed light follows his path, taking care to negotiate the more objectionable objects. The blur crosses to the edge of the water and reaches out to grab Euan. A gun is seen pointing where the blur extends.*

I need you for questioning...

I'll not post till tomorrow. See if any of my noble friends here feel the need to rescue me, and besides which I'm probably unconscious/half dead at best, and totally dead or worse at the other end of the spectrum, although you can probably see my hand twitching a liitle bit - probably just nerve reflexes

*Grabs out at a twitching hand, and hauls Euan onto the dock, keeping him covered with his gun. He then places an acupuncture needle at a certain point in his neck, which has the effect of paralysing him*

You aint going nowhere

*He drags Euan into hiding behind some crates*

*Jumps up and the blur resolves into Bob. He heads towards the fight between Yar and Jade.*

Paralysing me?

Didn't you read what just happened to me?

I'll be lucky if I retain the ability to walk after that lot happened...



*Still unconscious, bleeding and now paralysed as well*

Just in case... The effect is reversible with removal of the needle.

Yar can you cope? I have a prisoner we can interview... If you can manage here ill blindfold him and get him back to base...

[Yar] [shouting back] Yeah, okay, I can deal with this for now.

[Eckardt] [following Bob] Mind if I go with you?

*warps space to become just out of range of Craxus Punch and focus's thought to launch a temporal distortion at Craxus (Should make him stop in time for a minute)*

*Just as Lews did the temporal distortion, a barrage of missiles comes flying out of the mech 5 miles away.*

That's it no more fun and games.

Jade....I hope you can handle yourself im going to for Euan, as I saw him rolling down that very steep hill.

*Craxus picks up his hellsing handguns and fires them rapidly at Lews to buy him enough time to run over to those crates he saw drag Euan too.*

*Craxus shouts* EUAN!!!!!! You alive?

*Craxus keeps running at full speed, and firing his handguns in the process.*

*Isard frowns underneath his mask, very glad that Jade's blade has only cut half an inch into his thigh, the rest being stock in his armor. It hurts none the less.*

Argh!

*Isards simoltaniously stuck his arm between his neck and Jade's knife arm (grabbing her wrist to hold the knife away) and fell on his back (intending to crush to Jade underneath him [this again]).*

Haven't we done this dance before Jade?
